DanC Posted August 19, 2010 Looking for a good straight to the point meditation book, something nice and short that focuses on posture, technique and philosophy.. Â Daniel
Gerard Posted August 19, 2010 I can vouch for this collection:  http://www.buddhanet.net/insight.htm  This is very helpful too:  http://www.mahamakuta.inet.co.th/english/b-way%287%29.html  And more in my signature. Just search for walking and sitting meditation.  I would also recommend you starting with a mindful prostration session before you get really engaged in walking and sitting meditation practice. You can watch this:   The purpose it is a very clear: settles your mind and creates a specific mental state.  Good luck.
RiverSnake Posted August 19, 2010 Breath Sweeps Mind is the book that introduced me to meditation, and a good introduction it was. You can buy it on amazon for very a couple of bucks.  http://www.amazon.com/Breath-Sweeps-Mind-Tricycle-Book/dp/157322653X/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top   -However, meditation must ultimately be learned through practice, though good tips do help the process.
