themaninthesuit Posted November 8, 2010 Hi how is everyone doing. Well I just joined today but I just started "practicing" taoism this past year. Pretty much I have only read the tao te ching and have applied it to my issues with life. I was not aware of how in depth people got with it, so it appears I have much to learn. A main reason I am reaching out to other taoists is i feel like i need to practice meditation more, but i don't really have any idea to begin meditating in the first place. Mencius Posted November 9, 2010 Hello, I also am new to this site. Meditation is a way of emptying the mind of random thoughts. So the easiest way for me to begin meditation was to simply relax and focus my mind on my breathing, inhale and exhale through your nose, feel the coolness coming in and the warmness out, this will teach you focus and to be relaxed.
