GIVEN TO THE DYING

"This body is not me; I am not caught in this body,

I am life without boundaries,

I have never been born and I have never died.

Over there the wide ocean and the sky with many galaxies

All manifests from the basis of consciousness.

Since beginningless time I have always been free.

Birth and death are only a door through which we go in and out.

Birth and death are only a game of hide-and-seek.

So smile to me and take my hand and wave good-bye.

Tomorrow we shall meet again or even before.

We shall always be meeting again at the true source,

Always meeting again on the myriad paths of life".

From Thich Nhat Hanh, No Death, No Fear (taken from the Anguttura Nikaya sutra)

I'm not going to pick at this, just putting it out there for your consideration.

This is just your ego's grasping at an identity.

This is just your ego's grasping at an identity.

Call the kind monk Thich Nhat Hanh about it.

One who is at the source does not think about the source nor seeks it

So one neither asserts that there is a source or that there is no source

So what, for the enlightened being, can the idea of a source ever mean?

I say not much :P

I only reject is because you asserted it.

Balance of Yin and Yang?

if you reject it because I asserted it then you are in fact re-asserting that which you reject :D

I intuitively feel that this is true.

Returning to the source at the time

of our physical shell's collapse makes

sense to me.

I own the book this quote is from.

It is a book entirely about manifesting

a peaceful understanding that death is

not something to be afraid of. Our western

mindset is stuck on all things in the physical

realm, so this is refreshing to read.

And of course death is not the end at all.

From physics we are shown, once energy is created,

it can only transform, but never actually be

destroyed. We are at our purest form...energy.

We come from no beginning

and and we arrive at no end

We are Tao!
