NeiChuan Posted November 26, 2010 Hey all. I think im a hypochondriac now. Before it started the last thing on my mind was being effected by my environment. But ever since I dealt with 3 days of sickness and then temporary blindness, deafness, and loss of balance. I've kept thinking it's going to manifest again somehow. It's happened maybe 3 times since but yeah. For example. Alittle while ago I ate mcdonalds and steak at my uncles house (I dont eat that stuff anymore) and I felt like a pressure was building up. I started to get really hot and then got nausea. So I shook my head and kept in mind that's all bull. I've somehow taught myself to be sensitive to my own ideas. Any advice? even herbs? Birch Posted November 28, 2010 Are you practicing qi-gong? I've seen stuff like this mentioned in that big pink "Qi-gong empowerment" book. Hopefully your practice includes sending the chi back to dantian or some kind of closing. The deafness and blindness sounds scary. How did things revert? I've found that practice makes me ultra-sensitive. For a while I thought that everything was going wrong, turns out it's just that I can feel things a lot more. So yeah, I got very picky about food and temperature and all kinds of stuff for a while. Now, not so much. I guess I got used to it. But I'm still not putting a toe in McD's

But I'm still not putting a toe in McD's Yeah I have qi gong empowerment, books pretty good. And yeah I meditated about 20 minutes a time on bringing chi back to the dan tien, aswell as the microcosmic orbit method in that book. This temporary blindness stuff happened way before I trained, about when I was 14. I started training when I was 16. It's happened since then aswell, but I have to say it's much less worse now then before for whatever reason. One thing that is random. Whenever it does happen, im either sick a 3 days, 1 day before, or right after it happens. the first time I was sick for 3 days before it happened, then after I felt great. The last time it happened I felt sick shortly afterward.. It seemed every bit of problomatic food pushed me closer to having that experience again. I was pretty much eating hotdogs/cheeseburgers, and fried foods everyday. With a maybe 6 sodas and a possible tall energy drink with all of that. Maybe 2 or 3 more. I eat a mainly vegan diet now though, since then I haven't often felt like it would happen. I Feel comfortable even, first time in awhile . I just want to be safe about it.. Don't want to wake up sometime in 6 am and it randomly happens, finding out food wasn't as big a part of it then I figured or something. Anyway eating good food makes me feel good, so I'll continue that much Lol. Temporary blindness? Go get yourself checked for MS. I've heard that once or twice, lyme disease I heard maybe 3 times, never got checked for either yet. Im gonna have an appointment soon, if nothing gets in the way that is. Thanks for reminding me, I should see a specialist. Im beginning to think it may be high blood pressure or something though, my dads side has a history of it, could always be that. Birch Posted November 29, 2010 Yup, like Songs said, go see the doc. Sometimes the best cure for hypochondria is getting it checked out OT possibly, it seems some docs sometimes have a hard time diagnosing Lyme's appropriately, so you may want to read up on that. Yeah a friend of mine who had lyme had gone weeks before being diagnosed, because they were often not sure. Hi NeiChuan, thanks for reaching out to your fellow bums, esp. since I have been curious about your posts. (I.e., "There goes NeiChuan again..." ) This part of your post got my attention: Hopefully you've been off this western heart-attack-waiting-to-happen diet for some time. Pained me to read it. Once you've seen the doctor, do let us know your prognosis. Best to you. Yeah I knew I had to put a stop to it. I've rarely been eating meat, and don't drink any soda. So im sure whatever it is I'll be able to deal with it fine. I've been off the bad food forrr 2 months? off the soda for nearly the same time. Thanks
Birch Posted November 29, 2010 PANIC ATTACKS! Sounds like them to me. Were you drinking a lot of caffeine/sugar-filled stuff? Still, bad form on my part to attempt to diagnose anything online. Go see the doc and get a general workup. As RV said, quit eating cr*p:-)

Often yeah around the time it happened I had a few cans of soda. Not the first time though. I had just woken up and I started to get sick. One time when it had gotten close to happening I hadn't had any soda, but it was still going on. Making an appointment soon too lol
