Shen555 Posted December 16, 2010 Hello everyone, James here. I'm happy to be joining the forum and to start things off I have a question. Can the Flying Phoenix Qigong system be practiced along side Xingyiquan or Baguazhang? Will there be energy conflicts cause by differences in styles? Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed light on this, I just don't want to mess my body up beyond repair is all. James
pilot Posted December 16, 2010 Hi Shen555 and welcome, I don't have experience blending pakua/bagua with various styles of qigong so I don't know, but my teacher never said to keep them separate. The idea of incompatibility makes me weary of the way in which that system really works, because as far as I know compatibility is key to broadening your repertoire while also building on it in time because of the inherent overlap. It took me a good while time to come to this realization.
