Shen555 Posted December 16, 2010 Hello everyone, James here. I'm happy to be joining the forum and to start things off I have a question. Can the Flying Phoenix Qigong system be practiced along side Xingyiquan or Baguazhang? Will there be energy conflicts cause by differences in styles? Â Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed light on this, I just don't want to mess my body up beyond repair is all. Â James
pilot Posted December 16, 2010 Hi Shen555 and welcome, Â I don't have experience blending pakua/bagua with various styles of qigong so I don't know, but my teacher never said to keep them separate. The idea of incompatibility makes me weary of the way in which that system really works, because as far as I know compatibility is key to broadening your repertoire while also building on it in time because of the inherent overlap. It took me a good while time to come to this realization.
