bodyoflight Posted February 3, 2011 Well my first employer in 1979 had a bulletproof work ethic. My parents were depression WWII generation who had pride. It seems when I am working I bring a solid sense of 120% effort to the environment Somewhere along my co-workers learned to slack, they learned it somewhere. I have seen this nationwide. It is an I can do the minimum mentality.  The closest I have seen to national pride is the NFL or gangster nations around Chicago livin' large.  Now that my body is close to broken down from decades of "giving" and "service" I look to Cuba or Bahia as a place to retire to collect my socialist security. bodyoflight Posted February 3, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNxHrOEGXEA&feature=related  I love this part about asians.  Carlos was making a joke about how asians kick asses in the american school system cos they have this culture of obeying their parents more than other races..  Funny thing is, of all the races in the world, the asian societies have the most slave-like mentality and there aren't as many thinkers in asian societies as those in the west.. with the exception of Japan..  Asians may be good at getting good grades and stuff but unfortunately, the most out of the box thinkers I have met have hardly done well at school.  It is always hit or miss with those who don't do well at school. But when we're told what all this shit about , oh we need this, or oh we need that, or oh it's not normal to be this or that... by having these silly beliefs, we limit ourselves. I just posted about this, about limitations. We have SO much potential but we have to first break of the the "fear control" this society has us under, then we have to heal ourselves and break our addictions...we have to understand that we're addicted. Unless we can meditate non-stop without food or sleep or social interaction we're bound, chained to this world. We have to decide...what do we want? Of course I'm presently unable to fly without recourse to aircraft, nor can I set sh*t on fire without a match or a magnifying glass and some sunlight, so I may classify myself as "awake human" lacking in basic skills. I guess. i will respond to the getting to human idea. for me it makes more sense than getting to god idea. imo there are so many more barely human variety than superhuman or what kate has ordered as -human. i might make a suggestion to add -barely awake human and -more awake human to the order of -awake human. i think i would classify myself in the -awake human range also.and hopefully eventually i would evolve to -more awake human.but there is an almost equal chance of devolving back to the -barely awake human. i am not sure what we are calling basic skills and there would be intermediate skills, advanced skills and then for the rare super human the set of super human skills.maybe i have some basic skills, some intermediate skills and maybe becoz of natural ability 1 or 2 advanced skills. in the -more awake human stage of evolution most of my basic skills may rise to intermediiate and some of my intermediate skills might rise up to advanced. but most skills probably sitting in the high intermediate. so here we have humans is varrying stages of development . the -more awake and awake humans having greater skills in practice and application than the -barely awake and -barely human folks. so even without anyone attaining superhuman level and superhuman skills there are the folks holding the higher skills that can be used to whatever end. these folks will have great influence over the lessor developed ones. to a level of being able to exploit the weaker skilled folks or to use the higher skills to better serve all. if we can imagine that this model is close to what our reality is? so should the folks at the high end continue to seek after even higher skills when they already hold a strong working edge able to start influencing the changes that affect all or afflict all. i do think that it is (imo) natural and desirable to continue to grow skillwise and seek ultra skill. i just dont see where there is a gain made to the overall community in a tangable way when they are aquired. if i walk thru the wall or thru a door. if i can levitate or go invisable how does that help the overall community? what could be done then that cannot be done now?
