green dog Posted June 7, 2006 Hello, I'm green dog. I've been reading here for some time and appreciate the intelligent insights and reasonable consideration given to all posts. I've been following Tao for a long time and in my later years am more inclined to quiet than thought, but find new aspects to discover all the time, so am looking forward to listening mostly, contributing if I have something to contribute. 三江源 Posted June 8, 2006 hello green dog. I'm a green cat! sometimes I'm pink though. I also tend toward quiet. Except when I am joking and making the fun. or sharing informazione. welcome and wagginess of tail.
green dog Posted June 8, 2006 Thanks for your welcomes. Green dog was a designation given me in a Chinese astrology reading (my only incursion into the realm of Chinese astrology), I have no idea why but I accept it, it seems a friendly and not ostentatious title. My own dog is my Teacher, eats when hungry, sleeps when tired, is always interested in everything, completely present at all times, responsive and loving, strong and intelligent, dignified, playful when the opportunity comes along, fierce when necessary, delights in everything, knows how to be perfectly still. I have a long way to go to such mastery of Life...maybe that's why the green dog designation; still green.

cloud recluse Posted June 11, 2006 Cats & Dogs, some of my favourite critters Green Dog,I envy you your Teacher. I havent had the opportunity to keep a hound for over 7 years now & I do miss them.My last one was a beautiful German Shepherd who died of contented old age. Somebody somewhere,it might have been Robert Anton Wilson, said that humans learn from dogs the qualities of loyalty & openess. The downside was that dogs learn guilt & shame from humans .Funny in a morbid sort of way Cats,on the other hand, are cool little units of glorious & psychopathic independence! Paws or claws, you never really know Regards,Cloud.
