It would seem that this handsome young fellow... ...thinks that the Mayans are fools, along with everyone else who believes the Mayans, because this man, Harold Camping, uses MATH! to calculate the accurate date for the Rapture. Silly Mayans! Prophecy is for Christian fundamentalists who know their multiplication tables! But I may revisit Christianity one more time before I check out just to reinvestigate, as you say, the subject of divine love. I read somewhere about the encounter of the Christian mystic Thomas Merton and Buddhist mystic Daisetz Suzuki. Suzuki shared with Merton than when he read Meister Eckhart - apart from the cultural religious terms - he felt like if he was reading any of the great Zen/Chan mystics... Hello NMTNMT, Weren't you the one that got upset when people were insinuating that the Japanese were sexual deviants? Why is it okay for you to ridicule Christianity, but it's not okay for others to make negative comments about something you revere? There seems to be a lot of short term memory loss in this forum. In the future, I would recommend, rather than acting like hypocrites, that you guys treat others with the same degree of respect you want people to treat you and your ideas.
