bodyoflight Posted April 4, 2011 There was a recent thread explaining the various differences between fire and water cultivation practices. Â In that thread, examples of fire and water cultivation methods were given. Â I.e. kunalini is a fire method and stillness meditation is a water method. Â That thread seems to have disappeared though. Can the mods help me on this?

寒月 Hanyue Posted April 5, 2011 (edited) "I.e. kunalini is a fire method and stillness meditation is a water method."  Seems a bit too simplistic to me?  Where is all the "smokey water", and the "watery flame" methods Edited April 6, 2011 by snowmonki
doc benway Posted April 6, 2011 It might have been a thread relating to Bruce Frantzis. I made a comment in that one about the fire method. In general terms, water method tends to relate to dissolving whereas fire method involves a lot of focused attention/intention. Just a very gross simplification. 寒月 Hanyue Posted April 6, 2011 I enjoy reading your posts so if I'm lucky enough to be viewing the forum next time you're posting I'll do a quick screenshot .  All the best  You should read the ones that never even become "...." ha ha  I am going to go back and re-post, I just didn't have time to re-edit it at the time and sounded overly harsh for no real reason so I pulled it.  Best

Maddie Posted April 7, 2011 I know I just talked about this on my other thread, but it seemed relevant since I'm thinking about it, but isn't Kan and Li both a water and fire method at the same time?
