tulku Posted September 14, 2011 I know it's hard to keep an open heartWhen even friends seem out to harm youBut if you could heal the broken heartWouldn't time be out to charm you?Sometimes I need some time on my ownSometimes I need some time all aloneEverybody needs some time on their ownDon't you know you need some time all aloneAnd when your fears subside and shadows still remain, oh yeahI know that you can love me when there's no one left to blameSo never mind the darkness we still can find a wayNothin' lasts forever not even cold November rain

zerostao Posted September 16, 2011 And the cold November rains wash away the dust from the summer past.  Only change lasts forever. (Except when there is Singularity but we won't talk about that.)  speaking of singularity  lets consider if a magician can pull a rabbit out of a hat. (sufficient amount of pondering) now lets consider if a rabbit needs a magician to come out of a hat. (more pondering required) or can we suppose that a rabbit can just pop out of the hat (singularity) all on its own? ok one other thought, did david bowie have just one space suit or did he have ch cha ch cha changes? off topic in the basement is a cool place (((literraly, figuratively, symbolicaly. allegoricaly
Marblehead Posted September 16, 2011 speaking of singularity  Hey! I said we weren't going to speak about that. Hehehe.  lets consider if a magician can pull a rabbit out of a hat. (sufficient amount of pondering) now lets consider if a rabbit needs a magician to come out of a hat. (more pondering required) or can we suppose that a rabbit can just pop out of the hat (singularity) all on its own?  Well, sure, a magician can do that. We've all seen it done. However, I think that if a rabbit were already in a hat it would be able to jump out of it on its own, som, no, the rabbit doesn't need the magician. Therefore I suppost that it could be said that the magician needs the rabbit but the rabbit does not need the magician.  ok one other thought, did david bowie have just one space suit or did he have ch cha ch cha changes?  Ah! David. Yes, David has gone through changes. Afterall, he is a transsexual. Oh, I am sure he had many space suits. Likely a different one for each of his different space songs.  I like him. I have a number of his LPs.  But no, the magician will not last forever, nor will the rabbit, you and I. And apparently singularity cannot last forever either. Creation and destruction, you know. Ah! the changes.

Brought back memories of the times I was stationed at Ft Lewis, Washington. Â My first tour there I went to the Evergreen Ballroom in Olympia to see Fats Domino live. Does the Evergreen still exist? If you like Wes Anderson, of course. He's a bit quirky.  My favorite Seu Jorge tune and the video hints at how he got the Life Aquatic gig:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwT2iiKeg1g&ob=av2e
