Apech Posted October 15, 2011 Duh  We're supposed to add to the list I think.  Oh right! ha ha  8. The noble truths for our times can not be spoken (or written).  9+. Please refer to No.8.
stan herman Posted October 15, 2011 Oh right! ha ha  8. The noble truths for our times can not be spoken (or written).  9+. Please refer to No.8.  I like that. And, if you want to get technical about it, there aren't any noble truths. But here they are--even number 8, right before our eyes! Go figure. (Perhaps this is number 11?) manitou Posted October 19, 2011 9. Enlightenment, in a cerebral sense, means loss of structure altogether. Enlightened = getting rid of stuff that makes us heavy and keeping our minds totally open and unopinionated.

Apech Posted October 20, 2011 I'll move it but I'd like Stan to agree since he started it as a matter of courtesy.
stan herman Posted October 21, 2011 I'll move it but I'd like Stan to agree since he started it as a matter of courtesy. Â It's ok with me. I'm curious though about the reason for moving it. I suppose it has to do with this not falling within the boundaries of the traditional writings. My reaction to that is such a reason is both short-sighted and un-Buddhalike. Everything Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) 1. There is not one everlasting truth 2. Truth changes 3. Constantly change your truth to compliment the environment 4. Flow trough diffrent truth's with little effort as possible, choose the replacement wisely with efficiency as your intent 5. When you latch on to one truth, you will suffer 6. When you have no truth, you will be uncertain 7. When you're comfortable with uncertainty, you will create truth 8. When you latch on to your creation you will suffer 9. When you smell the scent of flowers while taking a dump, you will have mastered the Art of Truth 10. Stay far away from nobility... This is not truth, this is an order, maggot! My wish is your command!! ...Is the truth of the commander. 11. I am more then 10 is the truth of 11 12. We can take out 3 lions is the truth of 12 intiatied African tribesmen with spears 13.
