thelerner Posted November 15, 2011 Thorium reactors aren't a particularly new idea. At one point in early 50's it seems like it could have gone either way. Unfortunately uranium got the nod because it could byproduct nuclear weapons!? Â I believe a few experimental ones have been built and hope they become common in the future.
