Niklas Posted November 29, 2011 Hello, Does anyone know the name of the 3 books Boddhidarma wrote when he was in his 9 years of meditation in a cave in China. The first one is it called Yi Jing and based on Yi Jin Jing qigong?
Ish Posted November 29, 2011 I know of Yi Jin Jing (Muscle/tendon Changing Classic) and Xi Sui Jing (Bone marrow washing classic). As far as i know Bodhidharma's other teachings were the 18 Lohan Hands qigong and Zen meditation.
deci belle Posted December 5, 2011 I know of only four transcriptions attributed to Bodhidharma: 1. Outline of Practice 2. Bloodstream Sermon 3. Wake-up Sermon 4. Breakthrough Sermon I only have this little book translated by Red Pine called The Zen Teaching of Bodhidharma.
konchog uma Posted January 25, 2012 my qigong teacher (who teaches yijinjing and xisuijing) said that they aren't bodhidarma's. thats just shaolin "legend", and a practice more common than one might think; to attribute ones work to a famous master in order for it to gain popularity. i'm with decibelle, that looks like all that he said that was ever committed to writing, but i'm no expert, there might be more
