Would you like most women to cover up their beauty?

Recommended Posts

Not praising the worthy prevents contention,

Not esteeming the valuable prevents theft,

Not displaying the beautiful prevents desire.

Hey, all! I'll give some examples of diffrent kinds of sexual ways that females relate to men, in my personal observation and questioning. Most of all, I want everyones opinion on the title question. Its all good to me.

Would you like most women to cover up their beauty? Why would you prefer it that way? If not, why not? What way would you personally prefer and why? There is no wrong answer! :D

My personal examples of diffrent kinds of way, women relate to men. I'm not a women, so forgive my shortcomings here.

Some women try to denie sex, not think about it, uncomfortable to talk about it in public. They denie all incoming sexual harrasment they may have experienced from men and thus can live in peace, forgetting it. Usually don't have lots of sex with lots of diffrent people in their lives. For example, if they cheat, they cover it up real good, should they feel the need to do so.

Others may feel very beautyful and like to show it of or knows that allot of people are sexually attracted to them all the time. They make sex not a big deal in their mind. They justify sex. Not being a big deal, sex leaves no impression on them. Like a handshake. Yet, its fun to have sex once in a while. In my experience and observation, these kind of women aren't good at covering up when they "cheat". Yet, they are hard to tame. Should you feel the need to tame one as a man.

There are people who marry, in an open relationship. Which means they can have sex outside the relationship, openly, and still come home at the end of the day to unconditionally love your partner and children. Where marriage is not about sex, but about starting a family.

Oh, not to forget, homo-sexual relationships. I don't have any observation there. Not much I can say.

Last, but not least, there are also people who are covering up their beauty, as a way to show respect for the other gender. Believing that relating in a sexual way is only done in the bedroom, to make babies. Sex is not an important part of any relationship here.

Amazing huh? All the variety!

What you and most guys might not understand is a lot of fashion and beauty isn't about men and sex. We do it for other women and there's a whole sort of heirarchy and connection of looks and social status. Most guys barely know what is current trend and subleties involved in carrying a certain bag or shoes we wear. Way more info than "floozie" or "not flozie." Even in Islamic cultures where women stay covered in public, when just the girls get together the coverings come off and girls will wear cute and fashionable outfits for each other, not so much sexual as social. Can even be a way to express artistic side.

Sure, I understand this.

I was talking about in public, specificly women displaying their beauty to men.

Just like a man might show off his money and jewels to women. But I was talking about women displaying their beauty to men. Should women, in specific, cover up their beauty towards men, to prevent desire in your opinion?

Sure, we males also display our toys, cars, money to eachother. Yet, when it comes to displaying them to women, its another story for some people.

I say dress the way you want to be treated. If you want to be looked at as a sex object and get hit on a lot show some skin. If you want the opposite sex to leave you alone dress more modest. You are what you advertise.

I disagree as this does not always apply and there are many misreading of the signs in play too.

For example I am about to go cycling across Medditerenian Europe for few months and it is going to be hot . This weekend I am packing and thinking as to what am I going to wear, so that I am not hot and at the same time that I dont look too revealing and get all the guys checking out my ass and getting unwanted attention. It is actually a real hussle .

In the ideal world this kind worries should not be present.

Guys could easily go in shorts and shirtless, can you imagine a woman doing the same?

They don't need to cover it up. I myself make the personal effort to ignore it and focus on other things.

I think that women should live their lives without concern for whether someone else would like it if they would be a certain way or look a certain way. What concern is it of mine as to how a woman dresses or presents herself? That's her choice to make.

All I need to do is look into why it is that I would want a woman to act in a certain way for my benefit. Then decide if I want to act on that thought.

It is not selfish for me to live my life as I see fit.

Selfishness is expecting you to live your life as I see fit.

When I saw the OP I immediately thought of this (see image below) and the absurd religious ideology fanatics use as an excuse to oppress women. Even here in the U.S. women's rights are being trampled by right wing religious ideologues with Rush Limbaugh being their flag bearer.

To interfere with how a women or anyone chooses to dress, is interfering with that person's right to self expression.

And if the woman chooses to dress that way ... what then?

And if the woman chooses to dress that way ... what then?

Good question - who has the insight and authority to protect adults from themselves?

I've had a similar discussion regarding a woman's freedom to engage in pornography and prostitution.

In right wing Islamic countries, women are forced to dress in the burka. They have no choice, face serious punishment or death.

America has separation of church and state, so it isn't Christian. Other countries don't necessarily have this same type of government. So for instance, Saudi Arabia is considered to have an Islamic government.

Uhh, i don't ever see these people. If you're not relating in a sexual way, as a man to a women, then how would you ever progress to the bedroom? No one goes into the bedroom with their friends or someone they don't see as relating to them sexually.

Sure ... but what if they choose the burka but live in the West ... e.g. I think France has banned its use. In UK such a move was refuted by the Government on the basis that we don't tell people what to wear.

I tend to equate freedom with a lack of punitive consequences. Include 'socially punitive'.

Seems to me the "socially punitive" is on the up and up when it comes to women.
