Immortal4life Posted May 10, 2012 (edited) Here is a Discovery channel documentary I found called the Science of Lust. I especially found interesting the part where they had men draw a picture who had sat in a waiting room prior to drawing, and then compared them to drawings done by men who waited in a room with a beautiful women prior to drawing. No contest, the group who interacted with the beautiful woman prior to drawing were much more creative and detailed. Â I think this clearly shows how important it is to be "in state" in your life. You have to have the right mind state. Â Really you need the right mind state, and body state. A state of awesomeness, like a true star shining, a state of alpha male-ness, of pumping life energy, rushing endorphins, pulsing blood, flooding dopamine, and blasting testosterone. This is the way to functioning at full capacity in life. Immortal4life Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) In what way? Just lusting over random girls you see and picturing them naked or really getting in a state of awesomeness, attractiveness, and alpha maleness? Edited May 15, 2012 by Immortal4life
Marblehead Posted May 15, 2012 In what way? Just lusting over random girls you see and picturing them naked or really getting in a state of awesomeness, attractiveness, and alpha maleness? I was only into the real thing. I have never bought a Playboy or any of those other mags. I have never been to a peek show. I don't watch XXX movies. Â Of course, I am an old man now so not even the real thing happens in my life. But I can still appreciate the beauty of an attractive woman and what is really nice about that is that I can do so without any visions or desires. Â I do not regret having been a lustful Alpha Male. But there was always respect for my partner. Â I was young once and I didn't let my youth go to waste.

Marblehead Posted May 15, 2012 The porn technology advanced a lot since these times... Hehehe. Yes, I am aware of that. Some things just don't matter (to me).
Immortal4life Posted May 17, 2012 Of course, I am an old man now so not even the real thing happens in my life. Â Why is being old an excuse? Â Why did you let your age defeat you?
Marblehead Posted May 18, 2012 Why is being old an excuse? Â Why did you let your age defeat you? No, I was not defeated. I just got bored.

Gerard Posted May 19, 2012 I'm telling Tulku. Â Show him some respect! .... Â OK, seriously, the man has a point and a very good one. Lust is a big hindrance in the spiritual path, but giving up lust on the one hand while craving on the other is not healthy, it will only push the the existing sanskara to go deeper into our subconscious level. Maybe tulku was an alien being with no lower chakras in his past life, as some are. They are more spiritually advanced than us. Imagine then the suffering he is undergoing in this very lifetime. But this is his karma and a lesson he has to learn.
Marblehead Posted May 19, 2012 How is that not the same thing? Fair question. Â Being defeated implies that you tried your best until you could no longer continue. Â Stopping because of boredom implies that you could have continued on if you felt the results were worth the efforts.

Once that inspiration hits though, the best way to apply it is not by chasing easy sex, but by using it as a source of inner transformation and creative energy, as occured with the mens' drawings. But don't get too serious with that as it just might take all the fun out of sex.

Immortal4life Posted May 28, 2012 I don't know, it seems like you can always take it farther. There's a saying "there's always a bigger mountain", and it seems that it should apply to beautiful girls as well as mountains.
