Ya Mu Posted June 3, 2012 (edited) www.store.qigongamerica.com I remember trying to shoot footage for this back during the days of video tape, way before DVD's were available, then trying to edit it. After one week of attempting to render the files, the current state-of-the-art computer would crash before rendering 30% of the file. After weeks of trying I finally gave up. I tried again 4 or 5 times over the years; no go. Fast forward to NOW. It is done. edit: fixed link Edited June 4, 2012 by Ya Mu

Ya Mu Posted June 4, 2012 Hi Michael. Congrats! Question: With the DVD teachings, is your motto still: "You can't learn it until you do it. And you can't do it until you learn it." ? How important is the awakening projection to effectively studying with the DVD? Deep questions and one of them more difficult to answer with an absolute answer. The one that is absolute is that yes, one cannot practice this until they learn it and they can't learn it until they practice it. It produced a conundrum that I spent years trying to get around. The learning method I utilize on the DVD's is the same one I use in the workshops and I do believe it is the best approach to getting past the conundrum. The answer to your 2nd question is much deeper. Notice that this is published as INTRODUCTION to Taoist Medicine. Also note that I spent 12 years as an apprentice learning this system. As an introduction I do believe it does quite well. Of course if one wishes to take the study of this much deeper they should consider joining my certification program. This doesn't mean that one could not have some success using the method from the DVD. The near 100% results most achieve with this technique would come only with the complete study which is impossible to separate from the Stillness-Movement system. I do include with the 2-DVD set (making it 3 DVD's total) the Gift of the Tao: Vibratory Acts of Power so people can get started raising their vibration rate. A further note: This method is absolutely only meant to be used where and by those who have legal standing to use it.
Ya Mu Posted June 4, 2012 could we get a description of the dvd contents please thanks 2 DVD's Plus Gift of the Tao: Vibratory acts of Power DVD. Contents will not make sense until you see it. It contains brief anatomy review, as it applies to TM. It contains clinic demos, all live in real time, explanation, history, and contains introductory getting-started method. It also has preparation method and various clinical talks with both me and a certified massage therapist who uses the method. It is very difficult to present this on camera and the film represents takes from many hours of shooting. There is also some extra footage taken live from a workshop.
Kempomaster Posted June 8, 2012 What a great opportunity to add a Taoist Neuroenergetic Balancing Case Report. It seems these cases always come in bunches and is sometimes difficult to remember on that would mean most to those reading so perhaps i will offer more than one case report. Case Info: Approx 5o yr old male client - occupation - Western Trained Medical Physician. The client called me requesting help for a pain syndrome that he was currently having. (Note: previously I had treated the clients daughter successfully for asthma) The Doctor reported that he was having severe mid-back / thoracic to cervical spine pain with burning sensations that travelled across his scapula (shoulder blade) as well as numbness and burning pain that travelled down his left arm and affected his forefinger and thumb. The doctor also noted that he was having pain travel down his left leg - consistent with the bladder channel and was having cramps in his left calf muscle. Treatment: Taoist Neuroenergetic Balancing along with "Off-Body" Qi projection techniques from the Stillness-Movement Lineage. Treatmentime approx 1 hour and 15 minutes. Throughout the treatment the patient would complain of "Hot Spots" along the spinal nerves and he would fall into various states of deep sleep. During the treatment I monitored the entire body and noted a continual eruption of "Sick Qi" being displaced from the body. Typically when I hit a "hot spot" I would continue treatment on the spot until I felt the time to move on..and throughout I would see the "Sick Qi" coming out the bottom of feet, side of the leg, finger tips, and top of the head. After the Taoist Balancing I did approx 15 minutes of Qi projection to Triple Warmer, Small Intestine, Large Intestine, Lung, Bladder, Kidney, and Spleen. Results: The client reported being very dizzy following treatment - 1st had to calm the dizziness. He then tested to see if he could move his arms and back freely, rotate his neck side to side, and walk thoughout the room with the calf muscle locking up. His response - WOW Brion , you did it! I can't believe it! The pain is gone - no more burning sensation, no numbness, no muscle pain, nothing. Pretty cool results - I suggested that he take the time to get a bottle of water and run some water through his system and take a minute to sit and regroup before seeing his patients. He also admitted that he had been under a great deal of stress lately and when asked about those concerns he mentioned that he felt like the weight had been lifted off his shoulders. Follow-up: I asked for feedback over the next several days - so he could let me know if the pain syndrome stays away - if not we may need one additional treatment. I will personally follow-up with the doctor on this upcoming week. As of yesterday and today he was extremely satisfied with the results. Thanks, Brion aka Kempomaster

Ya Mu Posted June 11, 2012 (edited) Does this healing work well over distance or is it better to be present for the healings? There are two parts to what we do. Medical qigong, wai qi liao fa, is indeed applicable to distance. The Taoist Medicine is hands-on Neuro-Energetic Chi Kung Bodywork that utilizes the neurological system of the body. In some cases a very advanced practitioner can perform it via distance but best to just say it is hands-on bodywork. edit: On the first page or so of this thread I give an explanation of the technique. http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?/topic/7783-chinese-taoist-medicine-stillness-movement-medical-qigong/page__st__256 Edited June 11, 2012 by Ya Mu
indyjim Posted June 18, 2012 I should have added this case report when it happened. Client: ME Therapist: Kenpomaster About 3 months ago I woke up with a pinched cervical nerve. This caused extreme spasms in my right chest muscle, below my right scapula, and my right arm. It also caused constant charleyhorse type pain in my forearm. After a few days this became just one big excruciating pain in my right shoulder. Pain so bad that I was unable to do meditations, and sleep became very difficult. For a few days I tried constant medication with 4mg Dilaudid and it did abolutely nothing. Even went to see a chiropractor who had completely fixed a back problem a few years ago. Finally after 5 weeks of increasing agony I found a Saturday in which I was free and Kenpomaster was free so I drove the hour-long trip to Terre Haute. For almost an hour I lay on the table while he worked on me. End Result: I got off the table completely pain free. I still have some nerve impingement which causes tingling in my arm if I hold it in a certain position, but since that time on the table I have had NO PAIN WHATSOEVER. Look forward to seeing everybody in Springfield this weekend.

Repeatedly we have seen the Neuro-Energetic Chi Kung Bodywork work when nothing else does. What many don't know or understand is that this technique represents true Taoism on a level that will never be comprehended intellectually. Practitioners develop an intimate knowledge of wu wei and not-doing while nothing doesn't get done.

Ya Mu Posted January 2, 2014 You guys' case studies are continually some of the most fascinating and inspiring material on this site. Many thanks for the posts. I am glad you like them. People should know that Taoist practices go far beyond words and lifestyle. I don't post them as often due to having retired from clinic work (still do distance sessions and occasional Taoist medicine) and most of the practitioners of the system do not post on TTB. But there are a few. I estimate that there are about 50 members of TTB who practice Stillness-Movement and who have been exposed to the Taoist medicine. Only a very few of these are somewhat active posters. I also sincerely appreciate your contributions as it is really good coming from someone who has a perspective of actually learning, practicing, and mastering the real classic Chinese medicine. Please continue posting. The Taoist Medicine is fascinating, extremely effective, and unique in the field of Chinese medicine. It would be great for any practitioner of any health system to learn this style as it has the potential to drastically increase the efficacy of their clinical practice. After being involved in clinic work for several decades and observing many various therapeutic modalities I honestly can say I haven't seen any therapeutic form that has so much potential as it involves directly balancing the complete neurological system as well as the energy distribution system. It is understandable that the system was utilized only for the Emperor and his family and kept secret for so many generations; it is actually beyond amazing that we have been given the opportunity of sharing this knowledge. And I should correct some of what was posted last year (er, year before last). The Gift of the Tao DVD is no longer packaged with the Taoist Medicine DVD. But we do now have a package that includes all DVD's to date; it is discounted from the cost of purchasing individual DVDs.
