Marblehead Posted July 14, 2012 And why is it you think I have to justify, with reasons, anything I do in life anymore? I'm too old for that crap.
Brian Posted July 14, 2012 Who says I do things for a reason? Or that I really do things I don't want to do, for that matter...
Everything Posted July 14, 2012 Why it is more difficult to "unlearn" something then it is to learn something new?
Everything Posted July 14, 2012 Why it is more difficult to "unlearn" something then it is to learn something new? It might be because you think you have learned it, so you cannot unlearn it. What if you never learned it? You would not have to unlearn it.
Everything Posted July 14, 2012 It might be because you think you have learned it, so you cannot unlearn it. What if you never learned it? You would not have to unlearn it. Oh, I see. I have to be the person who never learned it? Well, I can't do that! I'm the person who learned it!
Everything Posted July 14, 2012 Oh, I see. I have to be the person who never learned it? Well, I can't do that! I'm the person who learned it! Indeed you are... Everything Posted July 14, 2012 Indeed you are... You can't be the person who has learned it and be the person who hasn't both at the same time. So be the person who has not learned it! Don't I have to unlearn "being" the person first in order to make room for being the person who has not learned it?
Everything Posted July 14, 2012 Don't I have to unlearn "being" the person first in order to make room for being the person who has not learned it? Not if you never have existed...

Everything Posted July 14, 2012 But I have existed for as long as I remember! So I should just stop existing? Well, you can't really stop existing. If you never existed, you would not even remember you did not exist. The closest you can get to not existing is unconditional existing.
Everything Posted July 14, 2012 Well, you can't really stop existing. If you never existed, you would not even remember you did not exist.
