idiot_stimpy Posted August 7, 2012 My question to all of you. If in the next 10 seconds you could make a decision to never think ever again, not think another single thought, what would you decide? Who can give up thoughts all together?
adept Posted August 7, 2012 My question to all of you. If in the next 10 seconds you could make a decision to never think ever again, not think another single thought, what would you decide? Who can give up thoughts all together? Why would anyone want to do that ? We're humans not emotionless robots. Observe the thoughts without reacting to each and every one that comes along. Where do thoughts come from ? Where do they go ?

deci belle Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) At the moment just before a single thought of the next ten seconds is close… Not deciding deciding to decide is close… Not giving up, but also not going along with thoughts is close… Natural reality is that close… it is just astonishing.❤ ed note: add "also" Edited August 8, 2012 by deci belle

RiverSnake Posted August 8, 2012 The mind can be a very powerful tool if one has complete mastery over oneself. Most people don't so the Mind becomes there own little torture chamber. -My 2 cents, Peace

z00se Posted August 11, 2012 I would never give up the power of thought. It is most enjoyable. Focusing your thoughts is good though, so that they are not scattered. If you asked me if i'd give up scattered thoughts instead of pure thought i would say yes straight away
