Marblehead Posted September 22, 2012 Nice. How about an aerial shot. Google earth should do it I'll see if I can attach a camera on one of the pigeons that come over to chow down on the bird food.
Marblehead Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Wait... for Marble Gardens I don't see that many marbles, did you loose them? Â OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH Ha! The marbles are out back at the fish ponds. I have two circular areas where I have artificial flowers in pots sitting on 2-foot 4"x4"s. The flowers are artificial because real flowers won't grow as the entire area is covered and gets no direct sunlight. The marbles are at the base and play the role of ground cover. Marblehead Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) you can get some amazing views with google earth. i was able to see the house and neighborhood i grew up in. Yeah, I have googled my property before. Although I can see my house very clearly the picture does nothing for my gardens and the ponds are covered so nothing back there can be seen. Â Edit to add: Â So I went to Google Earth just to see what pictures of my place there were and these new views are much better than they were the last time I looked. But they are old pictures - almost a year old, maybe November of last year. Edited September 22, 2012 by Marblehead

Hehehe. Â Actually, as long as I keep my expectations where they presently are I am already in Paradise.
Marblehead Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) Removed  Again, standing on the sidewalk looking at the left half of the garden.  In the foreground is the other area of Lantana. Then on the trellis are the Bleeding Hearts. The two circle areas now have Mums in them as I recently removed the Moss Roses because they had died back for this year.  Of course, one cannot miss seeing the rain barrels - there are eight of them in this area.  If you look to the roof of my work shop you can see my solar panels. They provide electricity for all the fish pond pumps during the day (on a full-sun day) and most of the pumps during the night from stored energy in batteries that cannot be seen from this position. Marblehead Posted September 24, 2012 Nice barrels! Thanks. I really appreciate that! Â (That's actually a test to see if one can see beauty without seeing ugly.)
Apech Posted September 24, 2012 Thanks. I really appreciate that! Â (That's actually a test to see if one can see beauty without seeing ugly.) Â Seriously I like them. It's great that you are using solar power too.
Marblehead Posted September 24, 2012 Seriously I like them. It's great that you are using solar power too. Thanks. Sincere this time. Â I am pretty much as green as I can get without putting out more money than I will ever be able to recover. (Remembering that I am fairly old and therefore I try to limit my expectations to the realm of the possible.)
Marblehead Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) Removed  These last two are face to face trellises with swings inside.  Here we have Bleeding Hearts on the left and Mandavilla on the right and rear. Behind are the Mums that you have already seen. Edited October 3, 2012 by Marblehead

Marblehead Posted October 2, 2012 What happened to this thread ? I was looking forward to seeing marble gardens ponds. Stosh Hehehe. I got distracted by life. I will put forth an effort to take some new pix (I have some old ones but things have changed) and get them posted. Â Yeah, this thread is basically dead unless I post more pix. Apech Posted October 2, 2012 If we started posting pics of your garden you'd get worried  (note to self ... must buy a drone.)
Marblehead Posted October 2, 2012 If we started posting pics of your garden you'd get worried  (note to self ... must buy a drone.) Hehehe. Yes, that would greatly concern me especially since one cannot see the ponds from above as all the areas are covered.  Therefore, if someone posted a picture of any part of my fish pond that would mean that they were close enough to give me a hug.
