de_paradise Posted September 28, 2012 (edited) Many people have read or watched "The Secret" and perhaps believe that the key to manifesting wealth is some kind of potent mix of strong desire and imagination. That may work to a certain extent, but that is not manifesting using the Universe, or God. Because the universe or God is not materialistic like us, its true aim is our spiritual evolution, period. Rich, poor, doesn't matter. In fact wealth manifesting is a selfish activity and the path to spiritual evolution is to become more selfless, egoless. True wealth manifesting can be summed up perfectly by the phrase "Give us this day our daily bread" from the Lord's Prayer. Notice its "Give us" not "Give me", and therefore if you really want to get into this phrase and think about it, you will have to take the point of view of all humanity, or perhaps all beings who get their day's sustenance. And its not give us condos with jacuzzi's, its simply bread, a meal, basic subsistence. Because all beings really need is basic subsistance. Its not that that they deliberately set a low goal, its that the intention for this basic thing is all you need, and all the universe could possibly understand to respond to. And notice how short term the intention is, its not wildly hoping for future gains, just daily, the now, setting the time frame of the intention the closest possible. Some of you may agree, some may disagree with what I've said, and thats fine, there are always varying opnions on forums. What I would be interested in, is if you tried out what I just said, during a meditation or sleepless night, focus on the meaning of the "Give us this day our daily bread" translating it into pictures and thoughts in your mind, envisioning the intention of many different peope getting their daily bread, many beings, dogs, deer, fish, all finding their food. And just getting absorbed by your desire of these beings acheiving this very humble aim. Your good will to see it come to pass. See what happens, see if wealth gets manifested. chi 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 (edited) I think before most people can surrender to the "one power" - they first need to learn how to direct it. Eckhart Tolle teaches people how to surrender to it - and how to be in the moment - but he doesn't teach people how to direct it. I have found Sedona Method releasing to be the missing link between surrendering and directing....It teaches people how to do both. People have to start somewhere. I think many rich people are more spiritually aware - then so called "spiritual people" who don't have any money. Take Donald Trump for example. He doesn't drink, smoke, or do any drugs. He donates millions to charity......People like him make the world a better place. Edited September 28, 2012 by chi 2012
de_paradise Posted September 28, 2012 I'm sure the Sedona method would interest some people, and I'll check on it. I forgot to mention that the above practise creates an incredible heart charka opening force. I was so shocked by the bull-dozer like power running though my heart chakra, that I decided to make the post. There are some practise notes that I forgot to mention, one is that you should be deep in meditation first, and then practise the imagining of allowing every being to become fulfilled, getting their daily life-giving sustenance. Another think to augment the power of this practise is a kind of Tantra-like visualization, where you can create a kind of ethereal/somewhat transparent image of yourself and place that image of yourself upon the other people, the fish, the tree, etc, so that in some part of your mind, you feel towards the other people, fish tree, exactly as you feel towards yourself. Its a kind of mental trick that allows your mind to apprehend one-ness to the best of its limited ability. So the entire practise of Manifesting Weath is you are actually allowing a part of yourself in the form of other beings to gain their daily bread, to become fulfilled. skydog Posted September 28, 2012 (edited) interesting ideas..care to expand or anyone else want to chime in... edit hmm Ill ponder this myself.. I guess this fits into the idea that wealth is not neccessarily money or a large house or designer clothes/car. To be rich while your brothers/planet is poor..is that rich or poor? What is self? In the Tao te ching, they say keep sharpening your knife and it will blunt, keep filling your bowl and it will spill..So I guess there is such a thing as excess. While I ponder this I question which way am I rationalising this and how does it fit into my current mold or reality, I am currently not rich (actually other thread I am rich) just not in the conventional sense..but hey who cares about the conventional sense it doesnt neccessarily mean anything. skydog Posted September 28, 2012 On another note...money can be used to do great things...although intefering who knows what is great etc, but there is an element of money being of great use.
de_paradise Posted September 29, 2012 Of course the debate about money goes on, but what I really tried to do here is present a specific technique of meditation that allows you to tap into some kind of powerful universal force. This is done by equating oneself with the larger Self, then using one's heart and best wishes to see their immediate desires met, really feeling in your body while visualizing people and beings. Then once you can start to feel a kind of bliss, then try to hold the images and feelings steady so that energies can flow through your body, cleansing and helping your path. Its really up to you and your trial and error to find the right images and emotions. It occurs to me that perhaps not many people are accustomed to doing this kind of mental/emotional type of meditation, yet this is the mainstay of my meditation. Just isolating what works and wash rinse repeat.

skydog Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) .I will try it de paradiso... Just getting some thoughts about money though. A lot of people try to repress their natural drives eg for money, or sex and this repression results in a lot of disharmony...we are human beings, human beings want to live nicely, human beings want to be free from stress, human beings want to mate. I have seen a lot of repressed "holy" people who attempt to shut off their drives but end up trying to seek it in much less honest way. healingtouch Posted September 29, 2012 There is nothing superior spiritually about not smoking, not drinking, not doing drugs, not having sex, or not ejaculating, just like there is nothing superior spiritually about doing them. They are just tools in one's spiritual evolution. Same with money, luxury, poverty, sex, or anything else on this planet. Sometimes the soul needs to have them to evolve, and sometimes the soul needs to go without. How we mix and match these is where the real art lies. And manifesting wealth, or anything else for that matter, becomes easier and easier as one becomes more spiritually evolved, but, at that point, it really doesn't matter anymore, because it's a non-issue. You can just as easily manifest someone wealthy to fall in love with you or manifest directly the things that you would buy with that wealth. And when you start thinking about what you really need is actually when you realize that it's actually not that much, and most of the stuff you think you need you can do without very easily. And this is when one starts to understand why the tao wizards of yore chose to stay poor ..
Aetherous Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) Thanks de paradise...for some reason, I had never considered the plural aspect.Considering everyone as equal with ourselves in the prayer, and wishing well for all...those are some good heart opening methods. To actualize such contemplations by our own effort in the real world...that's another way of performing the prayer... What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.James 2:14-17 Edited September 29, 2012 by turtle shell

I know...The point I was making about Donald Trump - is he really doesn't have any vices that make him "unconscious"....which is one reason why he is "successful". A lot of so called "spiritual" people are a mess - where they smoke pot and drink all day - and don't really contribute to the world - although they think they do. A lot of so called "spiritual" people are a mess - where they smoke pot and drink all day - and don't really contribute to the world - although they think they do. Or it's also possible that by "not contributing" they do more for the world than the "contribution" Donal Trump makes, and the ambition and drive for "success" that Donald Trump has is a worst vice than all of those above, and he truly is the "unconscious" one while all those "intoxicated" "spiritual" people are the awakened ones. skydog Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) Spiritual evolution ... says noting of it being towards constructive or destructive ways... it just says spiritual evolution... Some tools, like explosives, can be use to destroy a home or build a canal ... construct a home requires a different kind of tools set... There is something superior spiritually about NOT doing certain things just as there is something superior spiritually about following the true path of Tao... claiming that "There is nothing superior spiritually about not doing stuff" leads into the rejection of the superior spiritual ways of 'DO NO HARM' which is just a start of the true tao party of 'ALWAYS DO WONDERFUL GOOD'. NO HARM done when one ALWAYS DOES WONDERFULLY GOOD... (note that one can do no harm and still not do wonderfully good - in other words set to do wonderfully good ALWAYS) some may find your posts irritating..so you are failing to do no harm...rationalise that This post may seem mean and possibly is (depending on which way you want to rationalise) but yeh wake up to non duality, be in your dan tien instead of in your head, yeh you can say im telling you what to do, guess I am Edited September 29, 2012 by sinansencer
