Intelligence being used for rationalising, defending, explaining, justifying

Recommended Posts

The trap of intelligence, evil of intelligence, assuming its always right, so trying to validate ideas, explain, think of reasons why this is right/wrong, trying to control the world through the brain, justify emotions, rationalise emotions.

Intelligence is a tool, not the king.

I wouldn't call it evil, I think we use intelligence to justify and excuse things to try to avoid uncomfortable feelings because we want to be happy and avoid suffering. Obviously it doesn't work though.

Our old teacher listed it thus...

Intuition

Intelligence

Instinct

Intuition is at the top and trumps the other two every time. We cultivate best intuitively. Mind/intelligence is like monkeys chattering in a tree. Intuitive-Cultivation calms the monkey mind. If we let it.

Don't worry... As the world adds up the numbers, we define the numbers.

You have never been out of control. So have fun! :)

That must have been a Tao Bum

As the truck driver hits the sage, the sages head enters the passage seat next to the truck driver.

Truck driver asks the sage."Why didn't you move away?"

The sage replies: "My instincts are even more stupid then two monkey minds chatting in a truck."

The truck driver became enlightened by this conversation and intuitively felt two floating bananas that were ready to be caught by the windowless frame of the cockpit, and thus he drove the truck into the lake. He managed to survive the blow and caught the two bananas in a plastic bag that was intuitively found in the lake water. Then he did not walk home to share the bananas with his wife and kids, because his intuition told him he was already home. Trough much amazement, upon climbing out of the lake, the truck driver found old furniture, upon it lying a fat women with a beard. The bearded woman was very excited to have a guest and grabbed for the truckless drivers genitals, but he intuitively dodged the family conflict and decided that his genitalian instincts were in conflict with his intuitive knowing that to please this bearded women was the path of least resistance regarding the establishment of family harmony.... The truckless driver suddenly felt an intuitive knowing that the monkey mind had deceived him.

I specificly designed this story to inspire an IQ drainage of atleast 20% for any reader/listener B)

Basically where is one speaking from the heart or the head...heady based thinking is often less wise than wisdom that comes from abiding in the heart....or dan tien. The mind is very clever and people can justify all kinds of evil with it,
