Immortal4life Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) C. C. Zain and the Sacred Tarot The most authentic version of the Tarot, and the closest to the original used by Thoth, that is in existence in modern times has got to be the Sacred Tarot brought to us by C.C. Zain. http://en.wikipedia....wiki/C._C._Zain C.C. Zain, born Elbert Benjamine, (December 12, 1882 - November 18, 1951) was a prominent astrologer, occult author, and the founder of the Church of Light. His interest in occultism began when, at the age of 18, he joined the Brotherhood of Light, where he studied occult and spiritual topics, eventually becoming one of the organization's leaders. In 1915 he moved to Los Angeles, where he founded the Church of Light and taught esoteric subjects. He began writing the 21 courses of the Brotherhood of Light lessons on the three branches of occult science in the spring of 1910 and completed them in 1950. Volume XVI titled 'Stellar Anatomy' Copyright, 1947, Serial No. 197 Reprinted December, 1966 The Church of Light P.O. Box 1525, Los Angeles, California 90053. He studied at Iowa State University to become a naturalist. For twenty five years, he served as the President of the Southern California Nature Club. He was also responsible for the construction of a bird sanctuary in Los Angeles, CA. More about Elbert Benjamine- http://www.light.org...ght-lessons.cfm The late C.C. Zain (Elbert Benjamine), one of the most prolific astrological writers of the 20th century, wrote over 50 books and thousands of magazine articles. A scholar, who mastered every physical science of his time, he brought this same vigor to his exploration of the metaphysical sciences. He was born a natural psychic and seer. As a youngster his heightened awareness brought him into contact with those who had passed from this plane to the next. In some cases he was able to counsel those in need of adjustment to their new living conditions - both here and on the next plane. In the autumn of 1898, he began his esoteric studies. By 1900 he had contacted The Brotherhood of Light and began serious study of astrology. In the spring of 1910 he gave his promise to write the 21 Brotherhood of Light courses. From that time until his death, he devoted his energy and personal resources to writing the lessons and to establishing the vehicle for disseminating The Brotherhood of Light teachings -- The Church of Light. The scope of his work is so vast that the impact of his influence is perhaps little understood at the present. However, as the Aquarian Age consciousness evolves, his genius will become more widely understood. It is no wonder that students world-wide are benefiting from Brotherhood of Light Home Study Courses and that his works continue to be in great demand. GrandmasterP Posted October 7, 2012 Benjamin worked the circuit as a Spiritualist medium certainly between the wars. There's mention of him in the Lily Dale archive. Once the correspondence couses took off he seems to have given up the mediumshp. His 'church' was one of the first to offer 'ordination' by mail order. Nice to see that they are still in business. Immortal4life Posted October 31, 2012 Thoth was an Egyptian God, but in reality actually an Atlantean. He was Hermes, Jesus Christ, and Adam in other lifetimes. Seeing the signs of the coming destruction of Atlantis, prior to the final destruction, he and his soul mate Atlanteans went around the world to Egypt, the Pyrenees, the Yucutan, and finally Tibet. He and fellow Atlanteans set up proper monastaries for physical healing ans spiritual cultivation, and helped raise all kindred spirits trapped in this plane to at least the current human body level and all could now incarnate as the human beings of today. He put the knowledge and mysteries of enlightenment into secret oracles such as the Tarot, making it hard to understand by many people, and only the most sinscere would find the way. In this way the skills, methods, and teachings of Atlantis could be preserved until today.

I checked out the deck, it looks cool, but complicated since it also involves astrology. Its nice to see a tarot deck that isnt all full of fluffiness like the Doreen Virtue ones, that almost make you want to hurl.
