Humble Posted October 15, 2012 Anyone else routinely develop the intense need to ....uh....you know, poop,,,, in the middle of meditating? Is this an LDT stimulation thing? Or did I just exile myself to the weird questions corner? What other funny things happen in the midst of emptiness ? Someone share something so I don't feel all awkward 'n stuff! Apech Posted October 15, 2012 Not weird ... look up 'apana' in yoga. Â Your body responds to meditation in different ways depending on what it wants/needs to do. Don't worry ... just be interested in what is happening and carry on ....

GrandmasterP Posted October 15, 2012 If we didn't play music during class the only musical acccompaniment would be gentle farts. It's healthy.
RiverSnake Posted October 15, 2012 When you sit on your root it tends to stimulate the release of bile. Â -My 2 cents, Peace
GreytoWhite Posted October 16, 2012 Happens all the time to me. When I used to push hands with my friend we'd both rip ass constantly and laugh it off.
idiot_stimpy Posted October 16, 2012 In my experience, during meditation there has been a lot of movement of energy in the stomach area. Â These sensations will soon pass too.
Humble Posted October 17, 2012 Thank you all. Glad to know I'm normalish(I almost said "regular", but that would have been to easy a set up).
joeblast Posted October 17, 2012 regular is good, then you get it out of the way before sitting down for meditation
Mark Foote Posted October 23, 2012 I confess, I am pretty regular after the first sitting of the day, and I sometimes feel like I'm only sitting at night to get it together one more time. Â I read where Shunryu Suzuki said he had to use the bathroom a lot, and it worked in his favor when he did tangaryo, which is the period of sitting nonstop in the hall before admittance to the monastery.
