Everywhere... sometimes sitting or standing on the sidelines pointing out which way to swim... sometimes right along in the current working to push pull in the right direction... sometimes in the eddie enjoying the current and surroundings while taking a rest and riding the wave... just a paddle away from moving elsewhere...

 

If so, how can some may be caught in the whirlpools forever...

If they are reborn without the previous experiences , without the previous biases

then each would have no tendency any more than any others

to find the way

The only way to have folks stuck in a whirlpool of their own mistakes is to have them retain

something of themselves each go round.

It is precisely why I figure that to be a defeating situation.

Statistically , anything that can happen WILL happen given enough trials

if there is no bias.

Agree but will add that these changing shocks can come from within as well.

Et , Ill say it one more time ,

If the individuality of the last life is dropped

and you start afresh

then you wont have the same tendencies

Several years ago me and another guy were setting up coral rock structures

for our saltwater tanks , to do this one places the chunks of live rock in

what is supposed to be an interesting layout , and we messed with each others rocks

showing each other what were intended to be Improvements.

The odd thing was that in looking a second time at the changes we made

we were less impressed with our own changes to the layout

and found more interest in the plan of the other guy we were 'correcting"!

In the end we each pointed to the other ones layout and said we liked

THAT one much better!

It was the novelty of someone elses artistic sense unmessed with

that was the most interesting.

Its terriffic ! yet nothing like I would have ever done in a billion years !

and thats what I like about it most.

Breaking the circles can mean less suffering, can mean you live your life closer to the way things operate in the world so you live more in harmony, it may not lead to ultimate reedom from the merri-go-round but I wouldn't say it means nothing.
