skydog Posted November 22, 2012 the sage doesnt teach for this would irritate people, the sage stays silent and leads by example, as most will respect the ideas of someone whos ideas they seem respectable, perhaps asking an innocent question to make someone arrive at the conclusion themself. The sage is kindly humurous if he ever decides to acknowledge anything for this is most inline with the way, instead of spending all day debating and getting frustrated, he accepts peoples ignorance, or ruthless and simple in his reply. By calling himself or herslef the sage or master the sage has cut off attempts to learn or discard knowledge and ideas, all ideas get destroyed and all non beliefs become born thus the sage will soon become a non sage. The master has no real aim no specific point that he must arrive at, no fear controlling his or her life, floating effortlessly responding to the most appropriate action as neccssary, a master that no knows he is a master is not a real master. That is a concept too. Everything happens by itself Musings...dont ask me to write in perfect grammar lol
skydog Posted November 22, 2012 The master compliments others appreciating their good buddha nature deep down, reinforcing their buddha nature, focusing on something expands it, so as to dwell more on the positive rather than the negative sometimes it may be helpful to point out a certain habit or thought pattern, but this should be the exception not the rule. The master can make a point using logic, stories, illogical. Yeh I think this is channelled..mostly written for me though

GrandmasterP Posted November 22, 2012 Graduation day tomorrow. Hope it stops raining. The one day a year we get to dress up like Batman but with much sillier hats and process through the town to the ceremony hall for the general amusement of the populace. It's a proud day for the graduands and their families. Why tell? Cos I suppose as things go, m'colleagues and I are the 'sages' as far as the audience is concerned. But teaching, proper teaching isn't about being a font of all knowledge 'sage'. The best teachers are not the sage on the stage' they are more like a 'guide on the side'. The learning that really sticks is the learning the student does . The teacher helps them to learn in better ways. 67 of mine going through tomorrow and, as always; I am proud for every single one of them.
三江源 Posted November 22, 2012 Does the sage teachings irritate people or do people choose the irritation to irritate themselves based on what the sage states... keep from teaching for this would irritate people, is a tactic some irritated people use to keep others from telling them what they need to know... they already know it ... and don't like it... irritating kind of post. thanks for the opportunity to overcome my reactivity. x
Aetherous Posted November 23, 2012 (edited) Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults; whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse. 8 Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you. 9 Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning. Storytelling is a good way to teach. Very few people like cold hard instruction, but everyone loves a tale.
