abandonhope Posted December 21, 2012 So I was in a class and a student gave a presentation about a theory that describes the poles shifting and the planet going through a shield of energy which will put our planet into a 4th dimension. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I am trying to find more information on this.
GreytoWhite Posted December 21, 2012 Sounds like pseudoscience from the Internet. We are already in the 4th dimension (time) as well as possibly 6 or 7 more if you subscribe to string theory. Geomagnetic shifts do happen occasionally. The "shield of energy" is our planetary electromagnetic field which is created by the movement of the liquid metals within the Earth. Scientific knowledge allows one to sift through the bullshit more easily.

11 dimesions according to the string theory inventor.  The regular person only can see three demesions.
Marblehead Posted December 21, 2012 Yes, there have been numerous pole shifts in the past and there will be more in the future. Â Forget about that other stuff though. It won't put food on your table.
Taomeow Posted December 21, 2012 Yes, there have been numerous pole shifts in the past and there will be more in the future. Â Forget about that other stuff though. It won't put food on your table. Â This reminded me of John Lennon's aunt's saying, which was engraved on a plaque at the entrance of the mansion he bought for her: "John, playing guitar and singing is a nice hobby, but forget about making a living this way." Â Nikolaus, this book (in two volumes) can answer your question: http://www.amazon.co...l/dp/1891824171 http://www.amazon.com/Ancient-Secret-Flower-Life/dp/189182421X/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1356127508&sr=1-2&keywords=The+Ancient+Secret+of+the+Flower+of+Life%2C+Vol.+2
Taomeow Posted December 21, 2012 A worthy read, TM? Â It depends. Melchizedek is VERY strange. At first glance you would think you're dealing with the usual new age hodge-podge. But anyone who has studied sacred geometry will recognize a genuine and superb sacred-geometrical foundation to his material. It's as though he's giving a lot of mystical, esoteric knowledge to non-mystical, non-esoterically educated folks trying to build some bridges between what he knows and what they know or are capable of knowing. Dumbed down writing... if you're after eloquence and stylistic prowess, he will sorely disappoint. But I sensed an unbelievable amount of the real stuff behind the veil... and I've tried applying some of his stuff to everyday observations with spectacular success. Of course if someone is used to a more rigorous style of presentation and has a general aversion to mysticism, Melchizedek will simply infuriate or else be put aside with disdain. He teaches a specific meditation though which is the key to what he's talking about -- the talking is the veil, the meditation transmits the knowledge which can't be put into words. So, see for yourself...
Seth Ananda Posted December 21, 2012 I have a Love hate thing with Drunvalo. I first learned his meditation Techniques in the early 90's and did the 'pre' Flower of Life course, before the official FOL structure was released. I experienced so many weird things, and I still have to say the Merkaba meditation is a blast, but... Â I am convinced he is a conman and a fraud, at least in part. Â He would tour, telling everyone sufi's from turkey had a special living water that if poured into the sea's would turn all polution into pure sea water, and that everyone should do his expensive workshops on enviro tech, and buy his expensive sacred geometry tech devices that can clean a city's air pollution in 1 day... of course none of it happened, and none of it worked. Â But this was before most had even heard of him. Years later when the New Age really 'discovered' him, he did the same run again... sufi miracle water, sacred geo tech for sale, and presenting it all as if it was new... Â I have seen him live, and he claimed he had stood in a room with the Sufis and members of the gov and the secret gov, and watched a demonstration of that Sufi water being poured into a drum of pure oil, and that before their very eyes it turned into water. He said that gov officials all took some back to their own countries, and the secret gov agreed to call of the mass culling that they had planned for most of the population, as the enviromental damage all of us cause could now be averted... Â On the first round and again on the second much bigger round years later, he claimed that within the year they would have poured it into all the oceans making them pristine again. Which made it our job to buy his tech {i never did by the way, but friends did} and use it to fix the air. This is just low to me. Cashing in on peoples desire to heal the earth... Â So he pisses me off. He is a liar. But at the same time I feel kind of indebted to him for his techniques...

Many are shifting back to Poland since our economy tanked.

Yeah the Poles are very impressed with the Irish's drinking ability, haven't heard a review of English drunken ability yet.
GrandmasterP Posted December 22, 2012 Prescient that. Noisy drunks just rolling home through the village here. There was an end of the world disco/karaoke billed at the village inn tonight. It's no wonder we lost an Empire!
Taomeow Posted December 22, 2012 I have a Love hate thing with Drunvalo. Â Me too, and I wouldn't pay someone like him any heed (just another fraud, eh?) if it wasn't for the techinques! I've encountered at least one more master who shall remain unnamed who is like that. Lies, lies and more lies -- and techniques to die for. I don't understand. And then there's wonderful, truthful, realistic, conscientious masters who offer you... um, something that works as a nice relaxation routine, tops. I honestly don't understand.

Taomeow Posted December 22, 2012 Follow the money with these guys. The exit is always through the gift, merchandise and bogus-course store. All major cards accepted. Â Not an indicator of anything. You can get a lot of BS absolutely free of charge, and you can buy yourself the services of a doorman who will open the door an inch and then shut it in front of your nose -- but if you've glimpsed what's on the other side, you'll burn all your plastic to start a fire under that door, chances are. Don't judge a book by the price tag.
GrandmasterP Posted December 22, 2012 Free is good. Not necessarily 'best' but gooder than rip off and slightly above con. So many masters, so much merchandise.
Taomeow Posted December 22, 2012 Free is good. Not necessarily 'best' but gooder than rip off and slightly above con. So many masters, so much merchandise. Â The only master whom I consider a bit of a con, of the ones I've met, is medium-priced. Not a rip off, not free, just average. I had better ones for more and for nothing too. Shamans got paid for shamanic work, you know. They did no other work, so if a tribe wanted to have a shaman, no one demanded free services. The catch, of course, was that you paid what you could or what you wanted, no set charges. I still think it's the right way to go about it. But then there's so many clients who would rip off a master who'd set it up like that today... being ignorant and a master of nothing is no guarantee of being honest, you know. GrandmasterP Posted December 22, 2012 The labourer is worthy of his hire and, do not muzzle the ox that treads the grain. I read someplace. Anyone who gets a living from quasi spiritual schtick and can keep a living thereby deserves that living. It's the paying customers who keep businesses going and as long as they feel that are getting their money's worth then it's all good.
Taomeow Posted December 22, 2012 God me too... How are these often the ones that really come up with the goods? Â It's worth contemplating... There's some strange power in acting out of character, in opposition to your own regular flow, the image I have is the eye of the storm -- whatever rages around, the inner stillness is intact... don't know why this image, and then another one -- from Journey To The West, where Quan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, who carries a vase of compassionate blessings (and is usually depicted holding it) observes from above a fight between Monkey and her own buddies, and seeing that Monkey is winning, hurls this vase at his head, knocking him out cold.

ShenLung Posted December 22, 2012 http://www.nasa.gov/...leReversal.html  There you go. perfectly good, perfectly free. If you want to pay for the same information, but with more detail in a form that one can grasp, even if one isn't inclined to be a geologist, I could recommend this book:  http://www.amazon.com/Naked-Earth-The-New-Geophysics/dp/0452271622  I can't find my copy .. it's either in storage somewhere, or I've misplaced it .. oh well, time to order another for the earth sciences section of ye olde library, I suppose.
abandonhope Posted December 22, 2012 What about this field of energy that would put us in a "4th" dimension. I also remember they said it would change time somehow.
