fefil Posted December 28, 2012 hi everyone, I've been trying to learn qigong from dvds and find it almost impossible to sort out the wheat from the chaff. So if anyone can recommend any good dvd, I'd be grateful. I've already spent a lot on some useless dvds, so any advice is welcome 😊
Dainin Posted December 28, 2012 Welcome to TTB fefil! If I was just starting out again, I wish I would have seen this one first: Qigong Essentials #1: Controlling the Body by Ted Mancuso Some of the other qigong DVDs that I like are Jerry Alan Johnson's "Qigong: the Empowering Workout", Bruce Frantzis' "Dragon & Tiger", George Love's "Meridian Qigong", Ken Cohen's first one, and Michael Winn's "Qigong Fundamentals 1 & 2". Of course you can't go wrong with anything by Dr. Yang Jwing Ming. A lot of people here recommend Chunyi Lin's Spring Forest. There are some good free things on Youtube too, but I'll let someone else discuss those. It's probably needless to say, but it's better to learn from a live instructor. Not everyone has access to one though. Good luck with your practice.
