clouds pass by Posted January 16, 2007 I'm new to this site and have enjoyed reading some of the posts. Hope to learn from all of you and keep myself on the path. I started getting interested in Buddhism, Taoism, etc. after coming across a tv show called "Aspire" in San Diego. This show led me to Tai Chi and Aikido classes(and surgery on both of my shoulders, by the way!). Now I'm here and looking forward to getting to know others with similar interests. Happy New Year to all!!

clouds pass by Posted January 18, 2007 Hi Cloud, I hope your shoulder surgery wasn't caused by becoming one with the ground in your Aikido class Great martial art but LOTS of training injuries. Â You are indeed wise, Mal. I became "one" with the mat on many, many occasions thus leading to the surgeries. I also became proficient at "tapping out". If I'd only stuck with Tai Chi instead! I miss martial arts a lot and am looking for a new low impact type class as we speak (write?). Â Hey, welcome. I like your name a lot. Â Thanks for the welcome, Sean. My name comes from my latest attempt to still my "monkey mind". When I catch myself stressing, obsessing, etc. I try to tell myself, "These thoughts are just like clouds passing by". It seems to calm things in my noggin a bit.
