eye_of_the_storm Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) Q. I noticed in some traditions it is forbidden to touch a dead body many different rules... I think Tibetan monks say 3 days? I know of Native American (not well researched) that refuse organ transplant + won't give their own organs I agree with this as a result of cellular memory + cases of people getting organ transplants and their personality changing... I feel that this may bind a spirit to the earth? ... somewhat spurred by the meat eating thread going at present... and Shenlung's proposition // of the Priest Botantist and Officer Edited January 7, 2013 by White Wolf Running On Air

三江源 Posted January 8, 2013 If you were dead, and someone fucked your body.. what would that be like for you. what would it be like for them? I'm responding to the question inherent here as I see it, in your OP.... where do we reside? apologies if I am not on point.. I havent been following the other discussion to which you refer.. perhaps I should go and catch up on it.
eye_of_the_storm Posted January 8, 2013 Ah I was talking about organ transplants.... :/ haha Thinking more in relation to the Tibetan Book of the Dead the transition from... this life to the next etc
eye_of_the_storm Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Things such as... do not cry for the departed... as it confuses them in the bardo state? If you found your organs to be in 7-8 other people on earth walking around... are you really dead? (in body - will the spirit have some attachment to these organs) I think of the movie Casper... and the ghosts with unfinished business. eye_of_the_storm Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) the other discussion isnt that important... it was talking about cannibalism more or less I guess. Edited January 8, 2013 by White Wolf Running On Air
三江源 Posted January 8, 2013 Thinking more in relation to the Tibetan Book of the Dead the transition from... this life to the next etc yes, exactly. That was why i mentioned what I did!
eye_of_the_storm Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) where do we reside? yes that is the question In terms of cellular memory it would appear... that this can change consciousness particularly with organs such as the heart... they have also found the heart to have neurons too ... having seen documentaries of people who have heart transplants... + personality changes there would be residual consciousness of the departed within the cells in terms of the absolute self... in terms of relative self ? Other traditions say not to even speak of the name of the departed? So (From memory..or guess I don't know.) as not to bring them back to the earth plane perhaps all unfounded Edited January 8, 2013 by White Wolf Running On Air
