Jetsun Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Brilliant Moon: Glimpses of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche chronicles the life of the meditation master Khyentse Rinpoche, one of Tibet’s most revered 20th-century Buddhist teachers. Known as the instructor of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Royal Family of Bhutan, his life and teachings were an inspiration to all who encountered him. http://vimeo.com/25856253 http://vimeo.com/25861229 Edited January 8, 2013 by Jetsun

Apech Posted January 11, 2013 I liked the way he dispensed with shirts on every possible occasion. A topless guru ... great.
三江源 Posted January 11, 2013 I also watched today the other resource Jetsun posted - for which also thankyou Jetsun - the interview with bruce frantzis. It was a really good interview, Bruce is terrific, I really liked him a lot. But he could have done without his shirt, from my point of view. Definitely.

Jetsun Posted January 13, 2013 I also watched today the other resource Jetsun posted - for which also thankyou Jetsun - the interview with bruce frantzis. It was a really good interview, Bruce is terrific, I really liked him a lot. But he could have done without his shirt, from my point of view. Definitely. Maybe taking your shirt off is the real key to cultivation i'm going to try it right now That sort of thinking is probably how many of the things you get in religion come from, give it a few years and they will be persecuting people in the name of the Dharma for wearing shirts. Jetsun Posted January 24, 2013 Maybe taking your shirt off is the real key to cultivation http://thetaobums.com/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/ohmy.png i'm going to try it right now I was joking when I wrote this but I was just reading about the Zen master Hakuin and he says: "The golden rule in the art of sustaining life is always to keep the upper body cool and the lower body warm." So maybe there really is something important in being a shirtless guru. Although its probably not a good idea here at the moment seeing as there is snow everywhere. C T Posted January 24, 2013 Does not make sense to have the pot below the fire. Evidently this is the way conditions are in the human world at this age. Trickling down into other levels of existence too. Soon there will be torrential floods. Is your 'ark' in good shape?
