Anarcho-Syndicalist here buddy, you is "preaching to the choir".

Syndicates of mutual interest get the job jobbed every time and anarchism is just common sense (albeit with a history of really bad PR).

Read this in the gardening section of yesterday's paper in a piece on garden bird feeders.

"Squirrels are just rats with good PR"

Hehehe. It took me a long time to realize this all on my own. (Some things take longer to learn than do others.)

must be some damn good pr there coz i dont mind the squirrels in my backyard and the street cats wont mess with them either.

of course having an affinity for trees and munching on walnuts all day creates their own pr but the hawks are not impressed.

So hillbillies still eat squirrels in the USA?

The Clampetts seemed to be forever chowing down on squirrel stew in their Beverley Hills mansion.

The Clampetts seemed to be forever chowing down on squirrel stew in their Beverley Hills mansion.

last time i had some squirrel gravy over my breakfast biscuits i was enjoying the conversation about how here in Appalachia we have a long history of social activism, but we thought of a famous squirrel breakfast long ago shared by isaac shelby, james johnson, william campbell, john sevier, and joseph mcdowell, these hillbillies with a full belly of squirrel chased down some rascal named patrick fergusun, and gave no quarter what-so-ever. timothy murphy enjoyed a nice squirrel breakfast one morning and then went off to fire a famous shot. oh well,,,,

but speaking of how much some folks make, that jed clampett is purty well heeled, aint he?

edit> i reckon we will eat whatever dont eat us first.

Very bracing a dip in the ocean.

Wasn't aware I'd been 'warned' howsoever mildly.

Cat usually sends me a PM.

...

Off topic Q...

Was TTB down yesterday?

I couldn't get on at all.

usually! you are the naughty one ... sit at the front of the class where teacher can keep and eye on you.

I couldn't get in to TBs at all yesterday ... I had to delete my browser cache then it worked fine.

Funny how a very mild warning to GmP ends up with comparison to fascist juntas. Is that helpful? Anyway I hear the Pacific is quite mild this time of year.

It's very lucky that you resigned as a mod Apech, because, as I've said to you before, you seem to be quite hard of hearing reading.

I thought that it was actually quite helpful to point out that I don't view The Mod Squad as a fascist junta and I certainly don't view

sean as Pinochet.

I'll add The Mod Squad to my "Friends" (as well as the the three current mods) so that everyone is absolutely clear about that matter. However, it is of course, entirely up to them whether they accept my friendship request or not. :)

Furthermore, while I tend to avoid politics and politicians like the plague, I am certainly no friend to fascist juntas or to Pinochet (or to his friend Thatcher).

In fact, a very close and dear friend of mine used to visit her mother-in-law in prison in Chile while it was under Pinochet. She was extremely lucky not to be one of the disappeared herself, so I find your joke about the Pacific to be both insensitive and in extremely poor taste. Typical English humour though (I guess); forgive me for not sharing it in this particular case. :)

Done.

I was sad to note that The Mod Squad have only two friends at present (Zen Bear and me).

I would sincerely hope that more members might consider adding them as a public demonstration of support for doing a very difficult and thankless task.

Whether I agree with their decisions or not, they are a vital part of what makes TTB the best of the best. Where else can you find such an eclectic mix of fundamentally loving and decent people on the internet?

And..... if we all manage ourselves appropriately The Mod Squad would have a much easier ride and they would not feel obliged to ban anyone.

I thought that the Vegetarian Sparrowhawk was an apex predator?

You brought up the subject of Pinochet helicopters and the pacific.

And.......

There are Moderation Logs - these need to be used properly in the interests of transparency. TTBs should not be a police state where people are thrown out of helicopters into the Pacific, never to be heard from again.

This is not Chile and sean is not Pinochet.....(I hope - LOL)

... but I have no wish to fall out so I apologise unreservedly for any offense caused by my joke.

Good example of a totalitarian regime (unlike TTB)

Again, Apech! :)

Perhaps you need some reading glasses - LOL

I didn't say that you'd caused offence - I said that I didn't find that funny - so no apology necessary

Hehehe. No, I'm not falling for that. I am sure a sparrowhawk would take a small squirrel any time it has the opportunity.

Did you say that you were an anarchist, when you meant to say that you are the antichrist?

If so, would a crucifix nail you?????

Hehehe. Nope. Wrong again. I have nothing against Jesus. Crucifix? Nail? You are getting a bit poetic here, aren't you?

Did you know that even Hummingbirds are omnivours as most of the species will eat smaller insects whenever they can?

I paid around $200 (which is around 125 pounds) for two pairs of glasses with scratch proof lenses and an eye exam about two months ago. That was about the best price I could find. Wow we're really off-topic now. How the hell did we get to eye exams anyways?
