kzhu Posted March 26, 2013 Hi y'all, I have been meditating on and off. The thing is, recently, I have started to meditate by breathing through my stomach. And on and off now (even when I'm not meditation) I have these tingling sensation in my lower stomach to scrotum area. And, also, my upper torso as well. Can anyone give me a feedback on this? Is this a sign that I am building up my jing/qi? Thanks for the help
ChiDragon Posted March 26, 2013 I think the Chi Kung practitioners called the "Chi sensation". Your body is going through a transition. It will scan your body for illnesses, then it will repair it. However, you must continue with the practice. If the scanning didn't find anything wrong with you internally, it will enhance and fine tune the functions of the internal organs. If the tingling sensation had stopped, it means it had done its job and enhancing will continue as long as you continue with the practice.
Harmonious Emptiness Posted March 27, 2013 Not that I'm qualified to determine either way, but it would be difficult to determine this just by hearing that there's a "tingling sensation." Nonetheless, if you are meditating without force and these sensations arise after some time, I would say they are good, so long as they continue while you continue to allow them, rather than force them. If so, yes, you're on your way to a rewarding practice ..
