blindeye Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) I was walking through a holiday crowded mall several months ago and passed by an old eastern indian woman who's appearance struck me. She was wearing ochre color and appeared in every way identical to Giri Bala including body posture eyes closed and all. The image is from autobiography of a yogi. I had a strange sense of recognition from her as I passed even though her eyes were closed, so I doubled back and stood a few feet from her. Her eyes didn't open, but a sleight smile apeared and I had an impression she was seeing me. Her general presence fit the scen like a ufo at a drive through. I've been looking at pictures of all the enlightened beings google has and notice a fluctuation in the amount or quality of light that comes from the eyes at certain times and want to equate the en(light)enment with actual light made and absorbed by the body to say that enlightenment is kind of like a light switch. I know the source of inner light that comes out of the eyes and around the head begins in lower areas of the body like the tail bone and heart and when ever any human old or young experiences a state of joy, bliss, love etc. there is an issuance of light from the eyes and head. To me this looks like the crest of a wave in light production, or enlightenment. What do you think? Also, MRI of ni wan wide open after powa? 16th karmapa light body? z00se Posted April 4, 2013 I think all these lights came from inside your head according to what you believed. Only you can become enlightened so that you can become the observer.
hydrogen Posted April 4, 2013 I think all these lights came from inside your head according to what you believed. Only you can become enlightened so that you can become the observer. I think you're right. However, I still wonder if it's a good training tool to teach yourself how to generate lights. Or is it a leakage of energy? Any input? thanks. gendao Posted April 5, 2013 http://xuanfa.net/introduction-to-buddhism/evolution/ There's a correlation between taoism and buddhism re the Mud Pill on one of the pages there Historically, that name may likely have been originally influenced from Buddhism to begin with: The majority of qigong masters call the upper dantian niwan (mud pill) and they place it at the Du-20 Baihui point on top of the head; the Huangting Neijing (‘Classic of the Yellow Court’) calls it zuqiao (portal of the ancestors) and places it at 3 cun inside the EX-HN-3 Yintang pointbetween the eyebrows. Sometimes Shenting Du-24 is considered to be the access to the ‘dung ball’ niwan 泥丸. (The term niwan may also be a transliteration of ‘nirvana’ and it recalls the egg laid by the female dung-beetle at the end of a gallery dug in cow and hearse droppings. The female covers the egg in excrementsthat will serve as food for the maggots, her offspring.)
blindeye Posted April 6, 2013 (edited) Historically, that name may likely have been originally influenced from Buddhism to begin with: ..dung beatle rolls the ball with her hind legs backwards up hill. Dung is literal and ball being larger than pill. Edited April 6, 2013 by blindeye
