ralis Posted April 9, 2013 Madhyamaka reasonings are called reasonings for a reason. Madhyamaka takes no philosophical position. Its a system of nonimplicative negation. That is nothing more than a reductionist view and fails to see reality. To negate is to take a position. What a boring philosophy!

PLB Posted April 9, 2013 How can one prove or disprove the existence of a quality? I am going to go all Wittgenstein on you all and ask what language game this debate is happening within.
ralis Posted April 9, 2013 These 2 statements show you have no idea what you are talking about. To negate is to take a position whether you believe it or not. To prove nothing exists is to take a position that nothing exists. This is the problem with fanatical Buddhists in that nothing is resolved but arguments ad infinitum which serves no one.

Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan Posted April 9, 2013 emptyness and fullness.... yin and yang... existence and non existence...You are arguing... i am laughing.Actually it's annoying, but you do look silly.
Seth Ananda Posted April 9, 2013 Would've, could've, should've. The Universe exists regardless of type of analysis used. lol, the Universe is a prerequisite for analysis happening!
RongzomFan Posted April 9, 2013 To negate is to take a position whether you believe it or not. Seriously you have no fucking idea what you are talking about as usual. If I say "That mother has no son", that implies the existence of a daughter etc. A nonimplicative negation is a simple negation that implies nothing else.

Nothing exists outside of conceptual consciousness? If you go to sleep then the universe doesn't exist? If so then prove it!

I am talking about the early 80's before some participating in this discussion were born. A lot of the philosophical discourse is just a manipulation of the minds of followers. Negate all you want and see where it leads. Nowhere but confusion. Edited April 9, 2013 by ralis

ralis Posted April 10, 2013 Belief systems BS are the problem and until belief systems are seen through, resolved, liberated etc. no realization occurs. Hiding behind any philosophical structure for fear of the unknown is futile!
