21 day retention challenge for guys and girls

i cant not masturbate :\ this is peculiar... at arousal, i cannot ignore it, in bed i cannot be non-aroused. honestly dont know why im automatically aroused like that for no reason at all :S But the self control aspect of not masturbating.... i cant not masturbate. lol i cant keep my hands off myself.

No, this is an observation which i am sharing. i lack the level of self control to actually force my mind to not focus on my body and experiences.

It's either i ejaculate, or i murder. which is it? there's no middle ground yet. if im not getting off, i need something to "replace" getting off. and since i am extremely frustrated- conflicted between biology and intent, maybe?- i become swiftly angry, and then swifter still violent.


im not willing to become COMPLETELY USELESS. no sleep, cant sleep, too horny. fuck that shit.

When you feel that feeling welling up that you are to horny, and have to 'get it out' by ejaculating, just stop. Don't grab at yourself like an out of control monkey! lol

 

Feel into, meditate upon the sexual sensations. Stay with them...

 

The feeling that tells you you 'need' to ejaculate the second some sexual energy appears, is in part a conditioned response and is also, from a Tantric point of view the base chakra becoming stimulated.

 

The base chakras native form of sexuality is reproductive, ie, ejaculatory... continuity of the species and so on...

 

But the feeling that you 'have' to ejaculate is based on habit and conditioning.

 

 

As you sit with the sexual feeling themselves, the hornyness feelings, as they are feeling so 'activated' and you just 'feel' them as they are, keeping your attention on them, something starts to happen.

 

You start to realise that sexual feelings are just that. Sexual feelings. Nothing needs to happen. The 'Ejaculation Urge Anxiety' drops away, and you realise that sexual energy is really pleasurable.

 

It feels great to have a surplus of sexual energy in your body, and you will want more. Stay with the practice.

 

 

I call this becoming Horny Tolerant. Usually we {think} we cant tolerate any horny sensations building up without suffering or ejaculation.

 

Neither are true.

 

 

And finally, as sexual energy gets stronger within you, you may find you still need to use energy in some other ways to help support your practice. {especially if you last months and the sexual energy reaches manipur/fire chakra}

 

Did you always want to get up at 4 and meditate? Start doing so.

 

Did you 'plan' to work on your fitness or spend an hour a day doing Taiji? Start doing it.

 

Always wanted to be a sculptor? Begin it.

And since i have no means to "convert" sexual energy into "usable" energy, then i'll do what i hav to to not get angry and violent toward everyone and ruin my entire life in the process. I'll just stick to ejaculating. it's the only solution i can actually apply at this point in time. unless the secret is revealed here and now and i learn how to USE my energy instead of BEING USED by it.

Thanks Seth Ananda. When I´ve tried retention I´ve also gotten to that "I´ve got to" point but stopping and being aware sounds like excellent advice. Come to think of it stopping and being aware is pretty much always excellent advice. Think I´ll try it.

The moment our sexual energy starts to act up down there it often runs away with our "Self Awareness" like a bandit stealing treasure. Actually experiencing this and the difference in ones level of awareness was quite profound for me. Hormones are powerful. Best of luck to all you fellow travelers. Keep cultivating. :)

My post was not specifically directed at you. More just some support exercises for the people practising here.

But.. How many days are you on? Throbing pain?

 

 

not every day but a "day off" is a lot to handle some times.

 

 

I havent figured any consistency, some times i can go a week without even a thought of the matter, let alone arousal.

 

But otherwise, it's at least every 3 days, usually every night.

 

When i try to sleep, my entire body decides it's time to be difficult.

Thanks White Wolf for posting this. It gave me the impetus I needed to give this type of thing a shot. I was especially excited about the daily support videos, thinking that that might motivate me to get through the rough patches.

 

Well, I'm on day 8 and it has just started to get hard (LOL). The videos approach things entirely from the orgasm hangover/neurotransmitter viewpoint and seem to assume you have a sexual partner, so I'm finding they are not as motivating as I had hoped. They are saying it should be getting easier for me just when it is actually getting harder! I lapsed and pulled up some porn (I have all my usual porn sites blocked, but with google it is not hard to get around that), and just then my computer crashed! YES!! What was amazing was that even the briefest sight of a naked woman actually relived a great deal of the emotional discomfort I was feeling. But it was brief enough that it didn't trigger the "must fap now" impusle. OK, great, back on track. It seems like my personal difficulty is not orgasm hangover by a craving for the feminine or anything resembling the feminine. So this is going to be more like an AMP-style "No Woman Diet" challenge for me.

 

The increased sexual energy in my system is pushing up against the loneliness and woundedness in my heart. Here's to strengthening and fulfilling my resolve to heal.

Crossed the finish line! I completed 21 days and I'm on day 22 right now.

 

My body has reached hormonal equilibrium. My sex drive is flat, I have great control over my mind: concentration is easy to channel, and almost total control over what I think about during the day.

 

I love being in this state because I have more energy: I can go to bed later and wake up earlier, and still have ample energy during day. And when I'm in this stasis/equilibrium, chores don't seem like chores anymore. I'm able to throw myself into any hard work passionately.

 

During periods of frequent sex, all I feel like doing is laying in bed, or sitting around the house. Work and chores I perform mechanically and without deep interest. I notice that when I'm in this hormonal equilibrium state--after I go a few weeks without sex--I can undertake the most arduous tasks, and do so with enthusiasm.

 

My moods are better, and more easily controlled, and I have a quieter Xin (emotional mind), while my Yi (intellectual mind) is stronger.

 

I think that humans probably evolved having sex only sporadically, because it feels much more natural to go several weeks or months without sex, than the high-frequency we've been enculturated to in modern society.

 

I'm going to see how long I can go.

So day 7 for me... it's usually a difficult day with restlessness, and loneliness. I have generally been abstaining one week and then getting back into watching porn for a few days and then abstaining another week. I'm trying to break that cycle for good. Every now and then I will go 2-3 weeks, where physical pain and energy stagnation starts to occur.

 

I have upped my meditation and qigong practice, as well as physical exercise. Stretching my groin and inner legs with a butterfly and wide leg stretch helps. My head and loins are full of energy at night and I have been trying to sink into my ltd, but energy seems to circumvent my heart and disperse out of my arms when doing small universe. I am hoping that by abstinence and focusing on the LDT that I will be able to create an amount of chi that can open my heart. The last time I had this happen though it opened my third eye for a few days and I got a bit freaked out and difficult to function. I felt like I was tripping.

There is no need to rush to 21 days if you are inexperienced, just slowly extend the duration and you eventually get there.

When you get to the point where it gets easy to "will" yourself true the urges, then you can with much greater ease get to 21 days or more.

I did this for 21 days a couple of months ago in order to investigate the effects of all the heat buildup in my body. By week two there was tons of heat and I could warm up any part of my body just thinking about it, but I had lots of twitching, insomnia, and agitation, and I couldn't sleep at night. I was doped out on sleeping pills. Finally I ejaculated and felt better. I make sure I ejaculate daily or at the minimum once every other day to prevent this.

Hrmmm. What is this day 25 since my last nocturnal emission? I don't have a problemo with masturbation or porn. My focus/concentration is sharp and deep, which is something I've been wanting to cultivate. I could probably go longer if it wasn't for nocturnal emissions, but I have have been at this for over 100 days already and now I am able even resist ejaculation while i am lucid dreaming. I noticed that I am able to fight off entities/beings that subsist off of sexual fluids.

 

Lately I have been having dreams where beings have been asking to me to jack off or I encounter some one who seeks to control my free will and my hand begins to masturbate in mid air. It's rather funny and stupid. I've even had dreams where I am imagining my self cumming in the dream, but when I wake up, I am dry down there and still have my energy intact.

Ummm. I don't know how old you are, but you are going to want to savior this. Being able to direct that heat any where in the body is a good thing to be able to do, helps nourishes the body and bones. Keeps your energy field intact. If you are constantly masturbating and having sex, by the time your 30 you will feel as a old man. Just an fyi.

I'm serious cold showers will increase your chi, testosterone levels etc, It'll cool down your chi energy as well. Any sexual desire you have will immediately fade away.

 

It make seminal retention way easier.
