Flolfolil Posted May 6, 2013 the other night a woman asked me for help. she was a homeless, pregnant meth addict. she needed money and food. i gave it to her. i never once thought of what i was getting out of the situation, like emotional gratification. i also never thought of things like "what if she uses this money for meth" i don't really have any thoughts about the situation at all. i don't feel good about it, i don't feel bad about it. my body reacted automatically and just did it has this happened to anyone else? i can't even explain it, especially since i am not a very charitable person at all, and normally i would say no to helping someone i thought might use the money for drugs. Harmonious Emptiness Posted May 7, 2013 (edited) "Benevolence" comes from the french noun or adjective "benevole," meaning to volunteer for free. C'est bon! edit: yeah, yeah, they both came from Latin, but English words came from French (& German) Edited May 7, 2013 by Harmonious Emptiness
Cheshire Cat Posted May 7, 2013 I think that it's not about you: she has the power to get money from people. Probably this is how she lives... I've heard of a gipsy girl who can use hypnosis, but maybe this is not the case.
