voidisyinyang Posted May 19, 2013 What did it say? The crow told him where he was going to fly to and then he would fly there and did this several times and Jim would tell his friend what the crow said and where the crow was going to fly next and it was very specific information. Then there was something about the crow said he had to leave to go do stuff but that he would met Jim later at such a time or something. haha. So in that qi-talk Jim talks about how birds have energy paths that he can see - that when they fly they create an energy path that controls the direction of their flight -- and so maybe that is how they were communicating - through these energy waves and then he translated it back into human language.

That might explain how they are able to navigate during their long seasonal migrations.

voidisyinyang Posted May 19, 2013 The evidence and functional arguments reviewed in this article are not easily reconciled with an exclusive identification of the cerebral cortex as the medium of conscious function. They even suggest that the primary function of consciousness – that of matching opportunities with needs in a central motion-stabilized body-world interface organized around an ego-center – vastly antedates the invention of neocortex by mammals and may in fact have an implementation in the upper brainstem without it. The tacit consensus concerning the cerebral cortex as the “organ of consciousness” would thus have been reached prematurely, and may in fact be seriously in error. http://www.willamette.edu/~levenick/cs448/Merker.pdf
