Basher Posted June 5, 2013 (edited) Welcome to TTB's taiji_cat (or should that be TC ?) I've read a few versions, but haven't yet found one I'm really fond of. Not read this one tho, so might add it to my list.. Basher Edited June 5, 2013 by Basher
BananaMonkey Posted June 5, 2013 I study sinology and use a Zhuangzi translation by Victor H. Mair along with the original for reference purposes. That's also the version my professor (an expert on Daoism) recommended. It also has a well-researched and very hepful introduction. Mair also wrote an acclaimed Dao De Jing translation, which I haven't read yet, but since I can attest to the quality of his work on Zhuangzi, his Dao De Jing work should be excellent, too. As to his qualification, he's professor of Chinese language and literature at the University of Pennsylvania. Peace!
taiji_cat Posted June 5, 2013 Is this the book you are refering to: http://www.amazon.com/Tao-Te-Ching-ebook/dp/B003E8AIJI/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t The reviews definitely look promising "I have read several other versions and this one is by far the best in terms of its poetry. ”
