skydog Posted June 19, 2013 (edited) What am I appreciative of? How was today a good day? How is everything in harmony? How can my so called issues be considered gifts? I am thankful for my desires as I already have them How is everyone doing the best they can? I love myself, I love others, like a little innocent kid. I forgive myself, I forgive others How am I abundant? There is so much beauty in the world, I am grateful for it Thank you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfoSlbxEOEg http://dubbed-scene.com/dubbed-anime/my-neighbor-totoro http://wallpapers.leovacity.be/images/Nature_rainbow_wallpaper.jpg Edited June 19, 2013 by skydog
Flolfolil Posted June 19, 2013 i am poor as fuck. i just recognize that i can't do shit against a huge army with weapons. i don't want to fight, but that doesn't mean i think that you should give up. i want to see change, not endless discussion. why do you need other people to validate what you want to do? just do it bro
skydog Posted June 19, 2013 Irrational today was a decent day...I think watching brazil video on revolution riled me up lol...like I connect to the pain and relate to it or something
Flolfolil Posted June 19, 2013 (edited) like I connect to the pain and relate to it or something trust me i have been there. everyone around me constantly talking about how bad the world is, and i get on the news and read it more. Then i come on here to read about spirituality and people are mostly talking about how shitty it is. Some people are born to save the world, and they should go for it if they believe they can do something. Others are too fragile for such endeavors, and would rather enjoy the little bit of happiness they manage to find in this messed up world. i am done crying. it sucks. i will be happy if someone changes something, it just wont be me. Jetsun Posted June 19, 2013 If you can improve things from the inside it is the best way, which means harmonising your own being first as then that has a influence on the rest of society, but there may be a time when personal action is the most appropriate thing to do, like in Turkey at the moment. I was in a gallery in London the other day and a young woman walked in and lay down on the floor in the middle of the gallery with a t-shirt on saying "The more you repress us the more we will resist #OccupyGezi" and within a few minutes she was surrounded by people taking photos and security not knowing what to do with her, such a simple protest I think can be quite powerful and has a ripple affect on peoples minds and opinions , so sometimes direct action is more appropriate and powerful than sitting around meditating I think.

Spotless Posted June 20, 2013 (edited) We so often think of emotions as positive and negative and with each an automatic response takes place - an inertia. So called "positive" emotions are typically of a much higher frequency but the effect is not at all necessarily positive in the true sense. And conversely "negative" emotions can in fact have very positive effects. Neutrality is perhaps the most mistaken virtue - it is not "doing nothing" and it is not some void between positive and negative. It is much more like a crystal through which any ray any spectrum of light can move through without the crystal being effected or more clearly, without creating an inertia within the crystal. Create and Destroy both have a place - one is not better than the other. Our language creates problems addressing this discussion by the nature of our typical uses and the emotions they instigate. The buzz that our false personality lives in is in the realm of positive and negative. Our being resides in no inertia. Vmarco Posted June 20, 2013 I resonated with a comment on emotions in 'Practical Work on Self' by EJ Gold, he writes: "Real emotions are communicated by outward radiation of the mood, and originate through an awakened emotional center, which has no reverberational effects in other parts of the body, and is not necessary to verbally communicate the emotion. Positive and negative emotion are subjective mental states occuring in reflex, and must be verbalized and elaborately described, explained, rationalized and mentally communicated and understood. Those who can produce real emotions in themselves never communicate about emotional states in mental language; they just radiate the emotions, allowing the emotion to speak for itself. In the presence of someone who is able to produce real emotion, we experience feelings - perhaps for the first time. Very often, someone who has awakened the higher Emotional Body and who has learned to radiate emotions becomes a celebrity-guru, and people gather like cattle to bathe in the higher emotions. These higher emotions are often mistaken for some mysterious cosmic force or interpreted in some pseudo-religious way, but really they are just emotions. What a pity that human beings are so unaccustomed to emotion that they feel compelled to submissively huddle together in the warmth of the emotional radiation of someone just as mechanical as they are, but who happened to have activated, by accident, the higher Emotional Body." Flolfolil Posted June 20, 2013 do you have any advice on radiating emotions or unlocking the emotional center?
skydog Posted June 20, 2013 I was connecting to war pain from spiritual experiences...future or past... Anyways I will have to both agree on the non duality theme you have a good point that neutrality is not an empty void, but also without the heart connected the neutrality is not connected to ones heart.and the positive emotion theme, I think they are both equally important. Many religions, shamanism tribes, tibetan buddhists, chunyi lin, sufism, thetaoiseasy (haha) etc say it is good to focus on strong positive emotions. But to each their own, or probably we all agree anyways. My favourite way or first time with this experience is through shaking medicine focus on conjuring strong emotions whilst dancing/moving spontaneously it awakens the heart center, and I even tripped out a few times doing this. I made some really cool drawings of my aura after different qigong/dance/animal movements, can't wait to photo them and upload them here
Vmarco Posted June 20, 2013 do you have any advice on radiating emotions or unlocking the emotional center? The author of that quote uses stuff like this: http://www.slimeworld.org/xxaxx/jbc_ndx.html Unfortunately,...to try to understand these activities before doing them, lessens the experience. When I did them myself, I hadn't a clue to what I was doing....thus as the Club states: Not jumping to conclusions Another way could be through Connected Breathing. I found the following book to be exceptional on the subject http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rebirthing-Made-Easy-Self-Knowledge-Compassion/dp/0959001409 Although, after I read that book in the early 90's,...went for a 3 week workshop with Len Orr,...an experience unlikely to be forgotten.
