rezonator Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) .Hello all. I need clarification on something if you would. Stephen Mitchell's translation states in Ch. 2 that: being and non-being create each other This chapter shows the unity of opposites, how they rely on each other and define each other. But "non-being" isn't a thing, it doesn't exist. Therefore it cant be differentiated from. Being just is, just as existence just is. I don't see this in other translations. Am I being too nit-picky? What is your favorite translation? thanks, j.. Sorry, found my answer. Still looking for favorite translations.... Edited June 26, 2013 by rezonator

Solid and space coexisted;7. Difficulty and easiness mutually succeeded;8. Long and short mutually formed;9. High and low mutually encompassed;10. Melodies and songs mutually harmonized;11. ChiDragon Posted June 29, 2013 This video has more movements. Based on observation, it seems to me that some of the movements are some basic physical exercises in junior high school.
rezonator Posted June 29, 2013 So what should I be looking for? I know nothing about Qigong, I've only found it through my recent interest (obsession) in the Tao Te Ching. j..
ChiDragon Posted June 29, 2013 (edited) You should look for something like Tai Ji Chuan or similar like involving breathing and with movements holistically. Another words, all the body parts are moving spontaneously and slowly in synchronize with the breathing. Edited June 29, 2013 by ChiDragon
rezonator Posted June 29, 2013 Ok thanks. Im confused though. That looks like what I know as Tai Chi, people have been recommending Qigong. How are these different? Lets pretend I know nothing about what Im talking about.
Marblehead Posted June 29, 2013 Lets pretend I know nothing about what Im talking about. I often operate from that position and I don't even have to pretend.
