I have been reminded of some very good advice about communicating with others, and heated debates lately....

 

The first is from a Bagua teacher Yusen Yang

 

the ideal gungfu character is much like a Chinese coin... smooth and civil on the outside, with strong firm ideals and power on the inside.

 

This was posted in response to some online discord.

 

 

Then also the good ol'

 

Is it true, is it kind, is it necessary?

 

That necessary bit is always difficult, and the first two are definitely important.
