skydog Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) I like the Kite Runner Films by Hayao Miyazaki such as spirited away and Howls Moving castle Some disney films SOme sci-fi/alien films. Films like Lord of the Rings. I think stories are beautiful and are a form of art. Stories can be very powerful and life changing. Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) My imagination has almost always been a much more engaging and mystifying experience than any books or movies available to me... and even in the event that I find myself enjoying a movie profusely, is more often than not a comedy... not that I cant be funny >.>edit: event > vent Edited July 30, 2013 by Northern Avid Judo Ant
skydog Posted July 30, 2013 Yes, keep up the story writing, my friend. An example of what I mean is. The Hayao Miyzaki films can really warm ones heart and inspires one to live in a certain way, as do TV series such as Star Trek, Kung Fu and Dragon Ball Z. As can the Lion King for example Such films really motivate and inspire one to be brave, do the right thing etc, I was watching the kite runner two days ago, and I havent cried so much in a film before. It really put things into perspective about being a good person. On the other hand was watching a bit of daredevil the other day, so much violence, competition, what seems like bad messages, When I was 12/13 I started watching gangster films and idealising these people because they seemed cool, powerful and no one messed with them, perhaps it was good for my assertiveness, but there are strong messages in everything. Stories often deliver a message much more powerfully and emotionally than a quote. Certain types of music can embed very negative messages into ones brain, as usually drumming involved puts ones brain into a trance making one more susceptible. However watching a short video like this Can have a powerful effect on ones energy and heart and way of thinking. As can something like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EddvjrHqCkw
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan Posted July 30, 2013 Kung Fu Hustle. In that case Kung Fu Hustle is funny, but it touches firmly, yet gently on some very core principals of the human spirit... What Dreams May Come.A truly inspiring film about life after death and life after life.

Marblehead Posted July 30, 2013 I watched "Kung Fu Gold" the other night. Really bad plot and story line but some really good action sequences. And it was the real stuff without the ropes helping people fly around.
Esteam'd Punk Posted July 30, 2013 In general, films that are banned in many countries or are thought to be snuff films. But I'll watch anything as long as it's not TV. My favourite movies are the pirates of the Caribbean and anything else Johnny's face has graced.

Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan Posted July 30, 2013 You could try searching for death. found that death doesn't do anything, and quite possibly does not exist except as a contrast - not a literal or genuine element.

i am Posted July 31, 2013 I have a problem of not being able to recall what movies I've seen lately, even if I really enjoyed them.... But more and more I like movies that make me feel good. Much less violence and all that stuff. But I'm ok with movies that make me feel bad, if they're exposing me to a truth I'd rather ignore.

Flolfolil Posted August 1, 2013 i am looking for a pants shittingly scary movie, does anyone have any? most scary movies just bore me or make me laugh at the awful acting. i don't really like jumpscares either, i want something that draws me in and makes me genuinely afraid for a characters wellbeing. definitely of the horror genre...maybe psychological horror?
