Yeah, I just now saw it. I was outside feeding the fish.

Sometimes I just have to ignore Rene. We are friends so she knows how I am.

That's a strange statement. Would you mind quoting Zhuangzi on this? Thanks

Sorry, there was no quote from Zhuang Tze because he only writes parables. To understand what he was saying is straightly going through all the metaphors in his parables to draw to a conclusion by intuition or grokking.

PS......

Actually, I had learned most of Zhuang Tze's philosophy from the interpretations of the knowledgeable native scholars. The quote was from their studies.

CD reminds me of that one chuang tzu character that was never afraid to stand alone

even if others did not share his view

Yes, he had given me a tremendous influence. Find the truth; keep and defend it.

Immortality is only some kind of "bait" the Taoist masters toss to the people to lead them into the gateway.

Taoist aspiration , in fact , is great ;

The saying you repeatedly come across when reading the old Chinese Taoist writings ( contrary to those appear in the Western ones that are full of " enhancing sex power" or "openning the 3rd eye" ... ) is :

" 為宇宙幹一大事業" ( " To undertake a great enterprise for the universe ")

The basis of such a claim is that there is a micro-cosmos ( taiji) in everyone of us , where the " magic gateway"

( "玄關" ) is the threshold allowing us to cross the boundary inbetween the small one and the big one ....

I don't have any...

I find the questions more helpful than the answers.

_/\_

yes, the asking, the contemplating, the processing...by the time you get around to the answer, well, its already been resolved now, hasnt it?

that's why I dont normally get perturbed by a question being answered with a question.

And another aspect of this is that we are always changing.

Today's answer may not be valid tomorrow.

Answers are limiting, dividing, they represent stasis and an endpoint.

Reality is like the question, unanswered, without cause or reason, always changing and growing, full of potential.

Nice post.

Marblehead likes to come at this more from the philosophical point of view.

This is the foundation and development we undertake in Daoist alchemy.

The creation or discovery and investigation of the inner universe and its progressive development and refinement.

Ultimately, it's transformation, liberation, and assimilation with reality.

Many elements of a tantric method.

But I am becoming more tolerant of Alchemic and Religious Taoists. Hehehe.

Tolerance is a good thing, unless of course we're talking about opiates...

Naw, I wouldn't do that shit. And don't recommend it either.

Yes, tolerance is good regarding most things in life. People sometimes makes it hard though.

People sometimes makes it hard though.

I feel you brother....

And when they make it hard, there is no better opportunity for personal growth...

Yuck... I really didn't intend the double entendre but it's cute so I'll leave it...

Okay. First, it was funny. Second, it is the truth. All is good.

Tolerance or acceptance?? :)

It is more like tolerance than acceptance; tolerance does not has to be approved but acceptance has a commitment of tolerance.

Tolerance or acceptance?? :)

I argue that difference all the time. There are some things in life I won't even tolerate let alone accept. But as with most things, the middle path is the best path. (Except for maybe the Yellow Brick Road.)
