Tin Yat Taoist Posted August 19, 2013 They're having a bit of fun over there playing with the uncensored environment. In fairness, the guy they're yelling at had been spamming Mak Jo Si's blog with all sorts of crap, so a bit of frustration is being vented. If swearing bothers you, probably better stick to this board

Tin Yat Taoist Posted August 19, 2013 it's hard to explain it without going into extremely long-winded and sleep-inducing detail. The short version would be that, if I were going through all the crap that Mak Jo Si has had thrown at him over the past few years, I'd probably be far shorter-tempered than he is. I know all of the people from TY that are posting on that board, and I know them from more than just the pissed-off angle. I think they're just having a bit of entertainment at the expense of a sock puppet over there.
idiot_stimpy Posted August 19, 2013 I think they're just having a bit of entertainment at the expense of a sock puppet over there. Very uplifting entertainment for a celestial master to be partaking in...
zanshin Posted August 19, 2013 Mak Tin Si did some fabulous posts specifically about Chinese New Year and practices to prepare for that. Tin Yat, I would love to hear your perspective for Ghost Month, Moon day or any other upcoming Taoist calendar events. Thank you
Aaron Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) I read the thread in its entirety. It was painful. Mak Jo Si is really negative, big on slandering. He seems to fail to grasp the basic tenets of Lao Tzu, but apparently he doesn't need to since he was directed by immortals. Man, next time I need to call in sick I'll use that line and see how it works. Apparently people will buy anything these days. Tin Yat Taoist Posted August 23, 2013 zanshin - we don't have any partiicular religious calendar observances. We usually do whatever is related to the culture we live in, minus any religious stuff. For example, I always see my family around xmas, but I don't go to church with any of them. Aaron - 'slander' is verbal, you probably meant 'libel'? Regardless, for a statement to be either, it has to be false. Anything he's stated as a fact over there, has been researched and can be backed by evidence. If you're just referring tot he coarse language, well...maybe that's not the board for you.
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan Posted August 23, 2013 Can you present us, here, with evidence of each individual "debunked sect" and "exposed fraud"?Pretty please?
thelerner Posted August 23, 2013 (edited) Can you present us, here, with evidence of each individual "debunked sect" and "exposed fraud"? Pretty please? Personally, I'd prefer it if he didn't. Its a prescription for entry into The Pit. One persons evidence is another's gossip. Intelligent people will scope out the teacher, their school, and look to the students progress and sanity. Such a person can even find gems, good practices, from a questionable practice. Edited August 24, 2013 by thelerner
Tin Yat Taoist Posted August 23, 2013 Can you present us, here, with evidence of each individual "debunked sect" and "exposed fraud"? Pretty please? HAHAHAHAHA! I don't have that kind of time, and it would be unnecessarily repetitive. Check out http://www.taoleaks.org for most of it, or ask if you have a specific question.
spiraltao Posted August 27, 2013 I have watched your youtube videos and liked some of them. I went to the taoleaks site and was dismayed at some rationalizations made on there abut this site. Anyone who logs on here is asked to go to the lobby first to get to know about the forum. There one will most likely learn it is not a strictly Taoist forum. That seemed to be your premise that it was an evil site to be avoided, this is only my opine mind you. Have you ever hear the phrase "you can't judge a book by it's cover?" I feel this is apt here. I think you might be familiar with the term SPIN as well. I feel that is what is happening by labeling the forum as harmful to one's health. Seems to be akin to media "hype-ing" up a story. Again, opinion. A very wise man once told me any press is good press. I would have remained silent, but I don't see why you visit a board that you truly believe is evil and could harm your health. Marblehead Posted August 27, 2013 Personally, I'd prefer it if he didn't. Its a prescription for entry into The Pit. Agree. If we spend more time denigrating other belief systems and too little time being positive about our's and others' this thread would start a journey toward the Pit. That would be sad. newTaoist Posted August 27, 2013 you really should read and view the videos on their main site. I found it to be very positive and interesting.
