BaguaKicksAss Posted August 19, 2013 As I was searching around google I found this interesting story about some evil plants. No really. http://taobabe.wordpress.com/black-sorcery-and-ng%E1%BA%A3i/ http://taobabe.wordpress.com/ngai-black-magic/ I thought the story about the guy being thrown out of the bed by it was interesting though . That must be a pretty useful plant to give up one's master bedroom for it. Scary is that apparently the blog author has gotten many requests asking which exact plant this is, and the author even provides the spell. I guess a few folks are trying to go for the Darwin award this year. "Hey this plant, it eats eggs and blood too maybe and can be known to seriously harm it's owner even, the spell is very dangerous and only to be used by very experienced and high level sorcerers where the information has been passed down" "oh hey cool, so what kind of plant is that again?" I want whatever he's smoking. Most likely those plants. Edited August 24, 2013 by Celestial
Chang Posted August 24, 2013 I have not previously read much about this in the Taoist tradition but was aware of powerful spirit plants from Anglo Saxon sorcery. Such things are spoken of in Brian Bates Way of Wyrd http://www.amazon.co.uk/Way-Wyrd-Brian-Bates/dp/1781800170/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1377334262&sr=1-1 which is well worth a read. The compelling cult classic, now reissued in a brand new edition with a new introduction by Brian Bates. This bestselling fictionalized account of an Anglo-Saxon sorcerer and mystic is based on years of research by psychologist and university professor Brian Bates. Sent on a mission deep into the forests of pagan Anglo-Saxon England, Wat Brand, a Christian scribe, suddenly finds his vision of the world turned upside down. The familiar English countryside is not what it seems; threatening spirits, birds of omen and plants of power lurk in this landscape of unseen terrors and mysterious forces. With Wulf, a sorcerer and mystic, as his guide, Wat is instructed in the magical lore of plants, runes, fate and life force until finally he journeys to the spirit world on a quest to encounter the true nature of his own soul. An authentic and deeply compelling insight into the spiritual world of the Anglo-Saxons, it has inspired thousands of people to learn more about the ancient northern tradition. A spiritual classic! Zhongyongdaoist Posted August 24, 2013 (edited) Apparently no one has been reading their Jerry Alan Johnson. On page 448 in a section titled 'Using Blood Magic for Training Plant Spirits' of Daoist Mineral, Plant and Animal Magic, he describes the technique in some detail and includes a picture. Eating eggs is only the training period, which takes ten years total. When mature it wants a chicken a week and will leave nothing but feathers. If you don't feed it regularly it will turn against you.Plant magic gone awry is the theme of one of my favorite movies of all time 'A Chinese Ghost Story'. Sit back and enjoy the ride: http://youtu.be/Q5ACbxt6F0Q I may have more to say about this another time. Edit: Rushed again, I forgot to put in the title of the book. Second edit: Rats! I just noticed there are no subtitles. Rushed again. Oh well. I'll see if I can find one with subs to post, but it will have to wait, no time now. Watch it a bit you'll get the idea anyway. Third edit: Ok, I just had to take the time. This one is in parts, but has subtitles: Edited August 24, 2013 by Zhongyongdaoist
BaguaKicksAss Posted August 24, 2013 Wow I had somehow missed that, thank you. Though I think I'd personally stick with a bonsai . This definitely gets me to thinking about the various possibilities of "spirit".
