Ok, I don't know the man, but wish you a good seminar.

yeah, Peter has been involved with Taiji and Bagua for over 30 years, and is a long-time student of Oswald Elleberger, who is one of the pioneers of the arts in Europe. I'll ask Peter about the lineage question when I see him :)

And see if he'll allow me to make a little film.

I'm just telling you what I feel: this man has certainly a lot of knowledge in Chinese arts in general, but I don't think he is a specialist in baguazhang. I've worked with people like that before. You'll probably learn interesting stuff, but.... I advise you to do a bagua seminar with someone who is mainly doing bagua, so you can see the difference. Bagua is quite original as an internal art. When taiji people do it, they tend to do put their ideas into it.

Anyway, I could be totally wrong about this! Just tell us what you learnt after the seminar.

what? ... I'm not talking about the person in the video! lol, that video was just something I stumbled across while looking at youtube.

Or do you mean Oswald Elleberger? He's moved in the highest circles in these arts for decades.

Peter Schwarz, the one I'll be seeing this month, is someone I trust to be very authentic, and he's a Bagua specialist. But he's not on the internet except for his little info website.

I was talking about him. Ok, I could be wrong (Actually, I hope I am), it's just that when people seem to know about so many styles, they usually don't know much about one... But I don't know this person, so I won't talk about him anymore.

Just waiting for feedback after your seminar.

oh, I'm sure he won't live up to the standards in this place, but he's all I got, and I do know him from other seminars and know that he's a very serious person and places a lot of value on authenticity (can be a bit derisive of less-than-perfect people, actually). If I remember correctly, he's trained with BK Frantzis, too.

Regardless, we don't all live in Bagua-Meccas... would be nice! ;)

Isn't Bruce Frantzis Liu's one of Liu's lineage holders? BKF said he was the STRONGEST of all the people he ever trained with and the old man weighed 110 lbs.

He doesn't look impressive to people who don't understand what he's doing, but I do like his bagua, especially the way he moves his spine.

Hello, due to a generous donation by a wealthy client to help further the teachings of Tianmen Pai there is an offer to help any of you who are interested in becoming part of, studying, and teaching Tianmen Pai Taoist Internal Arts. We are an offshoot of Longmen Sect from North-West China and we offer our services to our communities. Headquarters is in Honolulu and there are two branches, one in Kansas City and the other in Serbia.

The donation will go towards your flight, room, and meals. This will be for a week (August/September) in Honolulu at a beach house so if you are interested contact me or call. One person, maybe two, will be chosen to start a school in your community. This is once in a life time chance to learn and experience Taoist Philosophy and Internal Art in Honolulu. Membership won't open up for another three years.
