Owledge Posted November 8, 2013 I believe this is short enough that I don't have to write a summary. (I made a comment on Youtube.) But among many other lessons, this teaches that there seems no area that is not affected by the mentality of saving money. They put up signs threatening lethal force, and it's apparently just to scare potential intruders away. Actual security is way too expensive, and the fact that this is a nuclear weapons facility seems to make no difference. (It's pretty much the same that happens in the industry regarding quality control. Quality control these days is mostly a myth. Way too expensive to actually do it effectively.) The whole government business is a freakin joke.

LeoViridis Posted November 13, 2013 That is one hardcore nun, even if there was no real security.

Basher Posted November 15, 2013 Hey, just had a thought... Making Nuclear Weapons is a really expensive business. "Hard up" Countries / Governments could perhaps save loads of money & still scare the whatzits out of their neighbours, if they just put up a Sign, saying "Here's Our Nuclear weapons stockpile".

Along those lines, how about global tax? Nuclear countries pay a tax, its collected and divided amongst non-nuclear countries. You could even have a multiple involved, the more nukes a country has the more taxes it pays. not practical for this reason- the mice voted to put a bell on the cat, yet it never got done. Owledge Posted November 16, 2013 not practical for this reason- the mice voted to put a bell on the cat, yet it never got done. The reality is more like this: The cats recommended to put a bell on everyone and the mice found this a great idea. So now we have a lot of mice with bells, but for some MYSTERIOUS reason, the cats aren't wearing any. And every now and then there's a mouse without a bell, and if another mouse complains, it gets eaten. ... Which is easy, since the bell helps to hunt it down.
