Spectrum Posted July 7, 2007 I like the eight treasures. Being a total novice it seems like a good starting point. I like that the movement adds a nice counterbalance to the stillness of Zhan Zhuang. Consider the possibility that you are patterning your own resonant field with the movements prior to during or after Pile Standing. We are living Mandalas. Knots of consciousness. Strings on the chords of humanity. Chi Gung, Tai Chi, Martial Art, Meditation, these are mediums to tune the musical instrument termed life. There are many illusions in the world in which the seeker should shake off their shoulders as so much dust. Many directions in which the treasure seemingly exists, but only one Way towards the goal. Right. During practice..don;t look for sensations.. they are nothing more but clouds passing in the sky. Cling to the coulds and you fall. Let the sensations go, don't claim skill because of certain feelings during and after. When there is no mind to feeling qi, real cultivation begins.. One must move pas t feeling inorder to get out of the realm of feeling during any cultivation. Feeling blocks the mind. It is a guideline in the beginning, but afterwards it will be a hindrance in one's moving forward. Peace, Aiwei

林愛偉 Posted July 10, 2007 For your practice; When you stand, do not think how long, and when you start thinking how long, just tell your legs and impatience that if you stand just a bit longer we will be getting closer to not being impatient and feeling leg pain. Because if we were all one with Dao, we could come and go as we please. Since we are not one with Dao, we cannot come and go as we please. Once we are one with Dao we can come and go as we please. Till then, cultivate to come and go as you please, and you will realize one with Dao doesn't exist. Peace and Happiness, Aiwei

rain Posted July 10, 2007 wandering through the woods banging on the trees as he pleases aiwei moves with the tao " i finally got my head toghether, now my ass is falling apart" is this a good description of the path? or is this just judgement too? ass versus head/nature versus intellect, material verus spirit??? IT MAKES ME SICK TO DEATH i ask because i am still in a very intense dialoge with my body. my body wich seems to carry so many stories. so many stories that i can listen to and let go. seems like endless, almost like decades of lifes... tiresome tiresome kicking wanting attention voices utterances sounds rings of vibration i hate i hate this "love" like a fish clinging to the hook. am i harsh? no i am not i am not. freeform Posted July 11, 2007 i ask because i am still in a very intense dialoge with my body. my body wich seems to carry so many stories. so many stories that i can listen to and let go. seems like endless, almost like decades of lifes... Sometimes it serves to stop the dialogue - stop the stories - stop the 'me' and the 'my body' and just be. pain? - smile, acknowledge it's there, say thank you, say sorry, say I love you and just sit with it - dont go into the story - admire the lake from dry land - you dont need to get wet to be thankfull. The body has a way of experiencing all the stories and memories at once - only the mind operates in linear time - 'allowing' feelings is just leting go of the mind's clinginess to the pain/pleasure/memory/trauma. Let go of the mind, be still with the feelings - it might work for you...

rain Posted July 13, 2007 Thanks to rex who posted this link http://dalailama.com/news.116.htm under upcoming events I read this; His Holiness praises the following verses for their essential meaning: "Whatever is dependently arisen That is explained to be emptiness. That, being a dependent designation Is itself the middle way. Since there is no phenomenon That is not dependently arising, There is no phenomenon That is not empty (of true existence)."
