Goldleaf Posted January 10, 2014 To that girl I met You liked Jack Kerouac, So did I. We made silly jokes while staring in each other's eyes. Your eyes are like lagoons. Maybe one day we'll meet again, Shine like suns and moons.

ThisLife Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) * Yesterday, upon the stair,I met a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today,I wish, I wish that man would go away...When I came home last night at three,The man was waiting there for meBut when I looked around the hall,I couldn't see him there at all!Go away, go away, don't you come back any more!Go away, go away, and please don't slam the door...Last night I saw upon the stair,A little man who wasn't there,He wasn't there again todayOh, how I wish that man would go away... Apech Posted January 15, 2014 And on that cheek, and o'er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent!
Green Tiger Posted January 15, 2014 I told her ghost stories and gave her chills she held my hand and I felt them too she talked of video games and online thrills I told her Super Mario was all I knew She asked why I favored the old and the lame I told her I liked my world colored in natural light She wanted me to play her colorful games She wanted a kiss before the end of the night When our drinks were gone and the talk was done I swallowed the kiss back down my throat she stepped out into the cold at nearly a run she bowed her head and bundled her coat

ThisLife Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) * The Green Tiger Tiger! Tiger! burning brightIn the forest of the nightWhat immortal hand or eyeCould frame thy fearful symmetry? In what distant deeps or skiesBurnt the fire of thine eyes?On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand dare seize the fire? And What shoulder, and what art,Could twist the sinews of thy heart? And when thy heart began to beat,What dread hand? and what dread feet? What the hammer? what the chain? In what furnace was thy brain? What the anvil? what dread graspDare its deadly terrors clasp? When the stars threw down their spears,And watered heaven with their tears,Did he smile his work to see?Did he who made the lamb make thee?Tiger! Tiger! burning brightIn the forests of the night,What immortal hand or eyeDare frame thy fearful symmetry? William Blake ** Analysis : What Blake is really asking here is actually a very complex metaphor which could be phrased much more simply as, "What is the hidden meaning behind your last post with nothing in it ? What immortal hand or eye could frame its fearful nothingness ?" Edited January 17, 2014 by ThisLife

ThisLife Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) Well,... that certainly was worth waiting for !! You'll have to excuse me for a few moments. I feel like I've been completely blind-sided. Fair took the wind out of me. Hhmmm,.... feeding a horse, you say ? I must say I've never thought of any of my sublime, precious, and close encounters of the 'hands-down-her-pants' kind,... as anything quite resembling that analogy. But then, I guess I've never felt very comfortable around horses. They're bigger than me, have legs that kick, and teeth that bite. From my own admittedly limited experience, I've never yet encountered teeth during any of my erotic explorations of the female nether regions. Have you ? Goldleaf Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) I see a "Missed Connections" sub-forum in the making... Imagine if you could come on to TTB to find out if that cute guy (or gal) in the esoteric bookstore/natural foods store/Buddhist lecture (anywhere in the world) found you of interest. Or felt a "spark." Then, you could connect up via PM. If only... He shared your love of gothic art, she shared your love of mediating upsiode-down on head. ThisLife Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) Vagina dentata? never. I have encountered women who had remarkable muscular control, though. * Good to see the tiger's back. After throwing that bombshell in a while back, you completely disappeared from the radar. I thought the moderators must have excommunicated you for a while for your sins. However, now that you're back and still searching for an answer to that fearsome, subconscious male fear of "vagina dentata",... I think I can reassure you that it's just part pf that age-old gender bashing that males and females have been engaged in since caveman times. It's that curious thing; each gender is attracted to the other and largely can't function with any sense of wholeness without finding someone of the opposite gender to fill in our gaps,... and to make ourselves 'fruitful', in more ways than the immediately obvious sense of that word. And yet, we both function so differently that there's very often a baffling lack of comprehension between the sexes. So, one of the more harmless, hard-wired responses towards this situation, is to make jokes. On that front, I think the Males Team has a much better supply of jokes. Probably simply because they happen to be more inclined that way. It's no accident that every single comedian who really becomes a household name for 'delivering the goods',... is male. But as someone who has lived with a woman whom I've become increasingly fond of with each passing year my life experiences tell me that, (as a reasonable generalisation), the Females Team tend to score much higher on the ' basic human kindness' scale. BUT, we do have better jokes ! Here, let me lend you a few examples : * {a} A man who says marriage is a 50-50 proposition doesn't understand two things: (1) women,… (2) fractions. * {b} Yeah, there are more important things in life than money, but they won't go out with you if you don't have any. * {c} A woman walks into a bar and asks for a Double Entendre, so the barman gives her one. * Edited February 7, 2014 by ThisLife
